GIRLS BASKETBALL: Hunt, Bengals edge Spring Valley

Tanganika Hunt had 24 points, seven steals and three assists and hit a pair of clutch free throws in the final 30 seconds Monday to help Bonanza’s girls basketball team to a 47-45 win over visiting Spring Valley.

Hunt scored 12 of her points in the fourth quarter for the Bengals.

Aliana Reale had 11 points to pace the Grizzlies. Teammates Samantha Meredith and Izzy Anderson added 10 points apiece.

Valley 74, Clark 41 — At Valley, Kennedy Wharton had 29 points and 33 rebounds to lead the Vikings past the Chargers.

Valley’s Gabrielle Cabanero added 17 points, four assists and five steals. Zhani Thomas pulled down 15 rebounds, and Eimainei Thomas-Palmer had 10 rebounds for the Vikings.

Bobbi Floyd scored 20 points to lead Clark.

Silverado 43, Tech 32 — At Silverado, Monet Salazar and Deja Siaki each scored 10 points to lead the Skyhawks over the Roadrunners.

Tatiana Rolon added eight points for Silverado.

Clarissa Szluha and Haylee Holsclaw each had nine points to pace Tech.

Desert Oasis 44, Del Sol 37 — At Del Sol, Mikala Kirby scored 21 points to help the Diamondbacks hold off the Dragons.

Kirby hit three 3-pointers, including two in the first quarter. KePatriot Simpson added 10 points for the Diamondbacks, who outscored Del Sol 10-4 in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Azhwalaee Oliver led Del Sol with 13 points. Sayanna Roy scored 12 and Astrid Rodriguez 10 for the Dragons.

Shadow Ridge 39, Mojave 32 — At Shadow Ridge, Kaila Hurley scored 12 points, and Jaylan Johnson added 10 points to lift the Mustangs over the Rattlers.

Michelle Wager chipped in with nine points for Shadow Ridge, which won despite shooting 12-for-32 from the free-throw line.

Dallas Hawkins and Darria Gray led Mojave with nine points apiece.

Rancho 34, Durango 32 — At Durango, LaKissa Martin had 11 points to help the Rams nip the Trailblazers.

The Meadows 45, Adelson School 8 — At The Meadows, Missy Siegel scored 11 points, and the Mustangs raced to a 33-2 halftime lead on their way to a win over the Lions.

Anjali Daulat and Delaney Gosse added 10 points apiece for the Mustangs.
