BOYS SOCCER: Cowboys blank Cheyenne

Omar Miranda and Gavynn Mossiah each scored one goal Wednesday to lift Chaparral’s boys soccer team to a 2-0 win at Cheyenne.

Alex Robledo added two assists for the Cowboys, who got a two-save shutout from Gerardo Skewes.

Palo Verde 3, Centennial 0 — At Centennial, Adam Afromsky, Nolan Sherwood and Dylan Obata scored first-half goals, and the Panthers topped the Bulldogs.

Nishesh Yadav earned the shutout for Palo Verde.

Green Valley 5, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Roberto Rodriguez had four goals and an assist as the Gators blanked the Grizzlies.

JanLuca Dusel scored the other goal for Green Valley, which led 3-0 at halftime.

Bryant Peralta made four saves to earn the shutout.

Faith Lutheran 5, Basic 0 — At Basic, Conner Frame scored twice, and Logan Buckley added a goal and an assist as the Crusaders routed the Wolves.

Kyle McKlein and Randal Colquitt each added a goal for Faith Lutheran.

Phil Starcher made five saves en route to the shutout.

Desert Pines 2, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Jelemes Cortez scored twice to lead the Jaguars by the Rams.

Christopher Rodriguez-Clavel scored for Rancho.
