GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Bonds, Farley help Bulldogs top Gators

Tiana Bonds had 14 kills, and Kristi Farley added 30 assists and seven digs Thursday as the Centennial girls volleyball team rallied to defeat host Green Valley, 25-27, 25-19, 19-25, 25-18, 15-8.

Cristina Owens chipped in with 11 kills and two blocks for the Bulldogs.

Nikki Drost led the Gators with 28 kills and 13 digs. Olivia Larson had three blocks for Green Valley, and teammate Madison McCarthy added two blocks.

Basic 3, Las Vegas 1 — At Las Vegas, Christina Kelly had 37 assists, seven digs, three aces, three kills and three blocks to help the Wolves down the Wildcats, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-17.

Kali Weires added 11 kills, two blocks and four digs, and teammate Kim Austin added 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks for Basic.

Samantha Remer led Las Vegas with 21 digs, eight kills, and four aces. Matti Ventling supplied 33 assists and two aces for Las Vegas.

Western 3, Virgin Valley 1 — At Western, Paea Savou had five kills, seven aces and six assists to lead the Warriors to a 15-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-23 win over the Bulldogs.

Destiny Gonzalez added eight kills and five blocks for Western.

Kaydee Bingham led Virgin Valley with eight kills. Janella Fiso finished with seven kills, five digs and three aces for the Bulldogs, and teammate Kirston Tanner chipped in with seven kills and three aces.

Rancho 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Rancho, Monet Wilson had 27 assists, seven digs and three aces to help the Rams to a 25-21, 25-13, 25-12 win over the Spartans.

Danielle Carino had nine kills, and Miyah Wilson added seven kills for Rancho, which got five aces and five kills from Jada Wilson, and five blocks and four kills from Jordon Williams.

Katie Curran had three kills and two blocks, and Priscilla Bennett supplied seven assists and seven digs for Cimarron, which got 10 digs from Sharon Reyes.

Spring Valley 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Rachel Milam had five kills and four aces in the Grizzlies’ 25-20, 25-20, 25-13 win over the Vikings.

Danielle Lopez had five kills, and Nicole Rafay supplied four kills for Spring Valley.

Gabby Cabanero paced the Vikings with 11 kills, eight digs and two aces, and teammate Taylor Sandhu had 17 assists, five digs and two aces.

Mojave 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Mojave, Leilani Limtiaco had 11 kills and five aces as the Rattlers swept the Jaguars, 25-19, 27-25, 25-17.

Pamela Martin added eight kills and four blocks for Mojave.

Faith Lutheran 3, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, Courtney Hansen had eight kills and 14 digs to help the Crusaders defeat the Eagles, 26-24, 25-14, 25-19.

Casey Leonard had four blocks, and Cayla Nikodemus added 11 kills for Faith Lutheran.

Whitney Barlow had 11 kills and two blocks to lead Boulder City. Kendall Miller finished with 13 assists, 11 digs and three aces, while Alyssa Ybarra totaled 20 digs for the Eagles.

Durango 3, Moapa Valley 0 — At Durango, Precious Williams had eight kills, eight digs and two aces to lead Durango past Moapa Valley, 25-12, 25-12, 25-17.

Kat Jaksic helped with seven blocks, and Cayla Cooper added four aces for the Trailblazers.

Bailey Owens had four kills and five digs for Moapa Valley.

Shadow Ridge 3, Silverado 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Olivia Denny had 30 assists, eight digs and two aces as the Mustangs swept the Skyhawks, 25-20, 25-18, 25-15.

Ashley Smith had 22 kills and five digs, and Kelsey Rodman supplied 22 digs and three aces for Shadow Ridge, which got six kills, three blocks and two aces from Dana Christensen.

Lauren Purdy had six kills and two blocks for Silverado. Morgan Little had 10 assists, and Amari Norris had four kills and two blocks for the Skyhawks.

Arbor View 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Arbor View, Hannah Goddard recorded 18 assists and 11 aces to lead the Aggies to a 25-16, 25-13, 25-16 win over the Pioneers.

Karli Beas added 11 digs and seven aces for Arbor View.

Sierra Vista 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Desert Oasis, Kira Felise had 24 assists and four aces to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-7, 25-19, 25-23 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Bailey Bergquist had nine kills and three aces, and Emily Feigler added six kills for Sierra Vista.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Evelyn Lopez had 32 assists, three kills and four aces as the Miners posted a 25-16, 25-19, 11-25, 26-24 win over the Desert Shields.

Deanna Manning contributed six digs, eight kills, and three aces, and Rebecca Ramirez added eight digs for the Miners.

Bishop Gorman JV 2, Lake Mead 0 — At Lake Mead, the Gaels’ junior varsity posted a 25-16, 25-23 win over the Eagles in the Lake Mead Fall Classic.

Savannah Schmidt had five digs, two aces and two kills, and Taylor Webb supplied nine digs and four kills for Lake Mead, which got eight digs from Jenette Hensley.

Bishop Gorman JV 2, Word of Life 0 — At Lake Mead, the Gaels’ junior varsity downed the Eagles, 25-10, 25-10 in the Lake Mead Fall Classic.

The Meadows 2-2, Laughlin 0-0 — At Laughlin, the Mustangs swept a pair of matches from the Cougars by scores of 25-8, 25-9 and 26-24, 25-19.
