BOYS TENNIS: Gajardo, Tacker lead Diamondbacks over Spartans

Ben Gajardo and Bryce Tacker each went 3-0 in singles Monday to lead Desert Oasis’ boys tennis team to a 12-6 home win over Cimarron-Memorial.

Nate Starlin and Royce Hightower were 3-0 in doubles for the Spartans.

Bishop Gorman 13, Bonanza 5 — At Gorman, Wally Ward and Daniel Kinas each went 2-0 in singles to help the Gaels down the Bengals.

Conner Pensivy and Zach Von Tobel were 2-0 in doubles for Gorman.

Jacob Mabey and Andy Stephenson went 2-1 in doubles for Bonanza.

Virgin Valley 14, Desert Pines 4 — At Mesquite, Drew Burton and Emanuel Guzman were 3-0 in doubles as the Bulldogs downed the Jaguars.

Nathan Hughes and Jacob Mikkelsen each went 2-0 in singles for Virgin Valley.

Valley 14, Silverado 4 — At Silverado, Marty Heavey and Michael Coppedge went 3-0 in doubles, and David Delaney was 3-0 in singles to lead the Vikings over the Skyhawks.

Lawson Borla and Jacob Van Laeken were 2-1 in doubles for Silverado.

Coronado 15, Del Sol 3 — At Del Sol, Ryland McDermott and Sam Grant each went 3-0 in singles to help the Cougars roll over the Dragons.

Coronado’s doubles teams of Aaron Egbert and Michael Boyd, and Kian Habashi and Kyle Harris each went 3-0.

Foothill 12, Eldorado 6 — At Foothill, the Falcons beat the the Sundevils.

Eldorado's David Decker and Dakota Shults went 3-0 in doubles.

Liberty 12, Basic 6 — At Basic, Matt Drongensen and Joakim Kahn went 3-0 in doubles as the Patriots topped the Wolves.

Tech 12, Boulder City 6 — At Boulder City, Christian Valle went 3-0 in singles to lead the Roadrunners over the Eagles.

Centennial 15, Legacy 3 — At Legacy, Chet Durkin was 2-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Dallan Johnson and Dakota Trombley went 2-0 to lead the Bulldogs over the Longhorns.

Green Valley 14, Rancho 4 — At Rancho, the Gators downed the Rams.

Rancho’s Andy Gamboa was 2-1 in singles.

The Meadows 17, Adelson School 1 — At The Meadows, Sam Mason was 3-0 in singles as the Mustangs rolled by the Lions.

Christian Zimmardo and Elliot Kwan were 3-0 in doubles for The Meadows.

Las Vegas 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Wildcats won by forfeit.

Moapa Valley 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Overton, the Pirates won by forfeit.

Clark 12, Mojave 0 — At Clark, the Chargers won by forfeit.

Western at Cheyenne — The Warriors match against the Desert Shields was a double forfeit as neither team had the requisite six players.

The Meadows boys tennis team won the Class 4A state title Friday in Reno. The Boulder City boys and girls lost to Northern teams in the 3A title matches.
