Outlook: The Panthers are riding a state-record 57-game winning streak but are rebuilding after capturing their fifth straight state title.
Poulsen and Tyler Higbee accounted for more than 70 touchdowns last season and will be dfficult to replace. Leavitt is expected to be featured on offense after rushing for 605 yards and six touchdowns last season.
Leavitt and Carter lead Pahranagat Valley’s defense. Carter recorded 73 tackles and three sacks in 2012, while Leavitt had 82 stops. They’ll get help from defensive end Utah Ray, who notched 31 tackles and three sacks as a sophomore last season.
“We look to compete with other teams in the Southern Division IV and the rest of the state,” Ken Higbee said.
