VOLLEYBALL: Tingey, Vanderstelt power Palo Verde boys past Wildcats

Mitchell Tingey and E.J. Vanderstelt each had 10 kills Friday to lead Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team to a 25-23, 25-18, 18-25, 25-17 win at Las Vegas.

Andrew Weston had 44 assists, and Rich Ryerson spiked nine kills for the Panthers.

Chris Kampshoff paced Las Vegas with 14 kills and 15 digs. Evany Diaz had 20 assists and 12 digs, and Blake Burgess added nine kills and two blocks for the Wildcats, who got seven kills and three blocks from Jason Cottle.

Centennial 3, Rancho 0 — At Centennial, Julian Lupo had 26 assists and three aces to help the Bulldogs to a 25-11, 25-13, 25-12 victory over the Rams.

Kevin Paul and Jason Kelly each recorded 10 kills, and Cody Graham supplied 12 digs and two aces for Centennial.

Aaron Robles had 12 assists and seven digs, and Andrew Dittrich tallied five blocks for Rancho.
