SOFTBALL: Williams, Panthers no-hit Shadow Ridge

Rachel Williams tossed a no-hitter Tuesday to lead Palo Verde’s softball team to a 1-0 win over visiting Shadow Ridge.
Williams walked two and struck out nine.
The Panthers finally broke the scoreless tie when Brooke Stover doubled home Dejanae Gage in the sixth inning. Stover had two doubles.
Sarah Pinkston fired a four-hitter for the Mustangs.
Spring Valley 7, Arbor View 4 — At Spring Valley, Georgi DeLio’s three-run home run capped a six-run fifth as the Grizzlies rallied to top the Aggies.
Arbor View led 4-0 entering the bottom of the fifth, and DeLio’s shot gave Spring Valley its first lead.
Jina Miyamoto was 3-for-4 with two runs, and Madison Macove was 2-for-4 with a double for the Grizzlies.
Kayla Stephens was 3-for-4 with a double for Arbor View.
Green Valley 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Green Valley, Fenixx Henderson spun a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts as the Gators blanked the Wildcats.
Samantha Loving and Autumn Owens each supplied an RBI single for Green Valley, which scored all of its runs in the third inning.
Rancho 9, Valley 0 — At Valley, Brandy Marlett spun a three-hitter with nine strikeouts and went 2-for-4 with a triple, a run and an RBI to lead the Rams by the Vikings.
Jacey Kelley was 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs for Rancho.
Kristina Manthei was 2-for-3 for Valley.
Durango 5, Sierra Vista 4 — At Durango, Mallory Lawson scored from second on a throwing error with no outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Trailblazers by the Mountain Lions.
Tori Ray was 2-for-3, and Kaitlyn O’Hearn was 2-for-4 for Durango.
Rachel Vargas was 2-for-3 for Sierra Vista.
Silverado 17, Canyon Springs 1 — At Silverado, Kaitlyn Amaral was 2-for-2 with three RBIs, and the Skyhawks took advantage of 18 walks to rout the Pioneers in five innings.
Kylee Baschnagel and Brandi Splinter combined on a one-hitter for Silverado.
Faith Lutheran 19, Clark 9 — At Clark, Lauren Lipe tripled, homered, and drove in five runs to power the Crusaders past the Chargers.
Kelly Zufall went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Mandy Young was 2-for-4 with a double for Faith Lutheran, which scored nine runs in the top of the seventh to pull away.
Jezebel Tuitele went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBIs for Clark.
Cheyenne 11, Western 1 — At Western, Alyssa Fata tossed a six-inning five-hitter to lead the Desert Shields by the Warriors.
Vanessa Sanders had two triples for Cheyenne.
Pahrump Valley 11, Mojave 4 — At Pahrump, Bryanna Soliwoda went 3-for-4 with a triple and a double as the Trojans downed the Rattlers.
Katelyn Button was 2-for-3 with two doubles for Pahrump.
Sunrise Mountain 14, Desert Pines 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, Sydni Beuchat went 2-for-4 with a double and five RBIs, helping the Miners to rout the Jaguars in five innings.
Kialee Page tossed a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts, and Natalie Sharp went 3-for-4 with an RBI for Sunrise Mountain, which scored 11 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning.
