VOLLEYBALL: Regalado guides Clark boys past Warriors

Walter Regalado had 31 assists and three aces Thursday to help Clark’s boys volleyball team to a 21-25, 25-22, 25-23, 30-28 win over visiting Western.

Walt Benda had 15 kills, three aces and two blocks, and Jeremy Bavers added 10 kills, three aces and two blocks for the Chargers.

Derrick Rinfrow had 15 kills and four blocks, and Vadell Wilson added 15 kills and two blocks for the Warriors, who got 26 assists, three aces, three blocks and two kills from Braeden Smith.

Arbor View 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Chris Heron had 30 assists to help the Aggies to a 25-19, 25-23, 25-23 victory over the Mountain Lions.

Brian Porter added 11 kills and six digs, and teammate Peter Peck had four aces and nine kills for Arbor View.

Srdjan Cvijetic had eight kills and Clyde Balagtas added seven for Sierra Vista.

Palo Verde 3, Durango 0 — At Palo Verde, Andrew Weston dished out 27 assists as the Panthers swept the Trailblazers, 25-10, 25-14, 25-15.

Brigham Clawson put down eight kills, and Greg Kinney added five kills for Palo Verde.

Pedro Abrego had 12 assists, and Paris Estrada spiked six kills to lead Durango.

Las Vegas 3, Green Valley 0 — At Las Vegas, Shayne Marquez had 18 assists and 10 digs to lead the Wildcats past the Gators, 25-23, 25-12, 25-15.

Blake Burgess supplied 11 kills and three blocks, and Darnell Lewis tallied six kills and two blocks for Las Vegas.

Jake Johnson had 10 kills and four digs, and Arvin Nitollama added 21 assists and three digs for Green Valley, which got six kills and four digs from Kenan Haywood.

Silverado 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Silverado, Curtis Hadland had 17 kills, and Bryan Skworzec dished out 12 assists as the Skyhawks rolled to a 25-15, 25-12, 25-22 sweep of the Pioneers.

Joey Sharp-Halpin added nine kills and four blocks for Silverado.

Immanuel Tufuga paced Canyon Springs with seven kills and 10 digs. Jose Piedra had three kills and seven digs, and Carl Esteban added 13 assists for the Pioneers.

Valley 3, Rancho 0 — At Valley, Jack Heavey had 15 digs and 13 kills to power the Vikings to a 25-15, 25-10, 25-23 sweep of the Rams.

Sean Carter dished out 25 assists, and David Delaney put up 18 digs for Valley, which got 10 kills from Lorenzo Capannolo.

Jef Rebibes supplied seven kills and six digs, and Aaron Robles added 10 assists and five digs to lead Rancho.

Mojave 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Mojave, Matt Albinio had 17 kills to help the Rattlers sweep the Desert Shields, 25-18, 25-10, 25-10.

Christian Limtiaco supplied nine aces, and Darryl Miller-Green had seven kills for Mojave.

Darius Gantt had six blocks for Cheyenne.

Shadow Ridge 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Richard Sterling put down 16 kills, and teammate Quinn Peterson added 12 kills to lead the Mustangs to a 25-9, 25-11, 25-11 sweep of the Grizzlies.
