ROUNDUP: Santos delivers for Legacy in win over Pirates

Alysia Santos threw a three-hitter and helped herself with a two-run home run in the fourth inning Friday to lead Legacy’s softball team to a 10-1 win at Moapa Valley.

Kiani Elia-Mendiola had two doubles, and Gabby Rinker also doubled for the Longhorns.

Cymoni Cooper had a double for the Pirates.

Centennial 10, Grand Terrace (Calif.) 6 — 
At Torrance, Calif., Savannah Horvath’s grand slam in the bottom of the first inning gave the Bulldogs the lead for good and led to a six-inning win over Grand Terrace in the quarterfinals of the Torrance National Tournament.

Lauren Stroman was 2-for-2 with a triple and three RBIs, and Taylor Huntly was 2-for-3 for Centennial.

Centennial 3, Damonte Ranch 1 — At Torrance, Calif,. Huntly tossed a seven-hitter and hit a two-run home run to lead the Bulldogs by the Mustangs in the Torrance National Tournament.

Huntly walked just one and struck out three. She followed Horvath’s one-out bunt single in the fourth inning with a home run to left field.

Horvath, who went 3-for-3, added an RBI single in the fifth inning for Centennial.

Adelle Oaks was 3-for-4 for Damonte Ranch.

Coronado 10, Bishop Gorman 3 — 
At Torrance, Calif., Danielle Amato, Kiley Harrison and Kendell Sauter each had two of the Cougars’ eight hits in a five-inning win over the Gaels in the Torrance National Tournament.

The Cougars led 4-3 after three innings, but scored four in the fourth to pull away.

Shelby Estocado was 2-for-2 with a double for Gorman.

Downey (Calif.) 4, Coronado 0 — At Torrance, Calif., Jennifer Santiago hit a home run to power the Vikings over the Cougars in the Torrance National Tournament.

Anissa Urtez finished 2-for-4 with an RBI for Downey.

Katie Dawson went 2-for-3 for the Cougars.

Arbor View 9, Jefferson (Texas) 0 — At Torrance, Calif., Chelsa Baca and Letty Valenzuela combined on a one-hitter, and the Aggies blanked the Silver Foxes in five innings at the Torrance (Calif.) National Tournament.

Dacia Sykes went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs, and Jessica Rivera was 2-for-3 with two runs.

Marissa Bachman had a double for Arbor View.

Damonte Ranch 4, Arbor View 0 — At Torrance, Calif., Paque threw a four-hit shutout, and the Mustangs scored all their runs in the final two innings to beat the Aggies at the Torrance (Calif.) National Tournament.

Rivera had a double for Arbor View.

Chaparral 4, Boulder City 3 — At Chaparral, Nicole Lesniak threw a four-hitter to lead the Cowboys over the Eagles.

Chaparral scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth on four hits and an error.

Valley 10, Cheyenne 7 — At Cheyenne, Olivia Ross went 3-for-4 with four RBIs as the Vikings outlasted the Desert Shields.

Vanessa Sanders went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and Brittany Leeds was 3-for-4 for Cheyenne.

Port of Los Angeles 7, Bishop Gorman 2 — At Torrance, Calif., the Polar Bears scored twice in the top of the first and never looked back en route to a win over the Gaels in the Torrance National Tournament.

Shelby Estocado was 2-for-4 with a home run, and Jasmine Gibson was 2-for-3 for Gorman.

Edison (Calif.) 7, Foothill 4 — At Torrance, Calif., the Chargers broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the top of the fifth inning and topped the Falcons in the Torrance National Tournament.

McKenna King went 2-for-3 with a double for Foothill.

Spring Valley 15, Bonanza 5 — At Spring Valley, Georgi DeLio went 3-for-4 with two home runs to power the Grizzlies over the Bengals in six innings.

Mariah Ward finished 3-for-5 with two triples, and Jina Miyamoto went 4-for-5 with a triple for Spring Valley.

Cimarron-Memorial 14, Sierra Vista 4 — At Cimarron, Sarah Murphy went 2-for-4 with a double and a triple to help the Spartans rally from an early deficit to beat the Mountain Lions in five innings.

Paige Ostlie went 2-for-3 with a double to help Cimarron, which trailed 3-0 after the first inning.

Sunrise Mountain 20, Desert Pines 8 —
At Desert Pines, Sydni Beuchat went 5-for-5 with a double to help the Miners beat the Jaguars in five innings.

Andrea Garner went 4-for-5 with five RBIs to help Sunrise Mountain, which took control with eight runs in the second inning.

Jazzmin Avalos went 3-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Desert Pines, which got a home run from Dominique Hopkins.

Lincoln County 20-17, Laughlin 1-0 —
 At Panaca, Elle Scott and Chelsey Lloyd each tossed a five-innng no-hitter as the Lynx swept the Cougars.

Scott struck out nine in the opener and got plenty of help from Kaylee Teel, who homered twice and drove in four runs.

Kourtney Gloeckner added two doubles, and Bailey Free had four RBIs in the opener.

In the second game, Lloyd walked three and fanned seven. Britten Hafen homered and tripled, and Free doubled twice for Lincoln County.
