ROUNDUP: Sison, Sierra Vista boys hand Longhorns first loss

Julius Sison had 21 digs and six aces on Thursday as Sierra Vista’s boys volleyball team handed visiting Legacy it’s first loss, 25-22, 22-25, 25-23, 25-14.

Tylor Sullivan finished with 30 assists, and Tyler Hollings contributed 11 kills for the Mountain Lions.

Braden Liu had 27 assists, four blocks and four aces to lead the way for the Longhorns, which got 10 kills, eight blocks and eight digs from Tanner Compton.

Centennial 3, Palo Verde 1 — At Palo Verde, Cameron Hanselman had 12 kills and nine digs, and

Chet Durkin finished with 45 assists and two aces as the Bulldogs slipped past the Panthers, 25-23, 28-26, 22-25, 25-22.

Mitchell Tingey led Palo Verde with 11 kills, and Zac Pacleb added seven kills. Andrew Weston dished out 35 assists and had 15 digs.

Las Vegas 3, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, T.J. Esporsa had 10 kills and 10 digs to lead the Wildcats over the Mustangs, 25-22, 19-25, 25-20, 15-25, 15-11.

Blake Burgess had 16 kills for Las Vegas, which got 16 digs apiece Evan Kinard and Chris Kamphshoff.

Quinn Peterson tallied 13 kills, and A.J. Makaiwi added 16 digs to lead Shadow Ridge.

Coronado 3, Valley 0 —
At Coronado, Tyler Cucullu had 12 kills as the Cougars defeated the Vikings, 25-14, 25-22, 25-21.

Matt Pettit added eight kills, 11 digs and two aces, and Connor Stephenson had 27 assists for Coronado.

Valley’s Matt Ballaro and Jake Heavey each had nine kills, and Sean Carter added 27 assists for the Vikings.

Cheyenne 3, Del Sol 1 —
At Del Sol, Daniel Gonzalez-Beltran had 11 kills and five blocks to lead the Desert Shields past the Dragons, 16-25, 26-24, 26-24, 27-25.

Brandon Bonnetts contributed 15 assists, and Deonte Perkins supplied eight kills for Cheyenne.

Deavan Holcomb had nine kills and three blocks, and Juan Mendoza tallied seven digs, five kills and two blocks for Del Sol.

Tech 3, Western 0 — At Western, the Roadrunners were 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 winners over the Warriors.

Vadell Wilson had seven kills, and Braeden Smith added nine assists, two kills and two aces for Western, which got seven assists and three aces from Jesus Herrera.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Desert Pines 0 —
At Cimarron-Memorial, Taylor Larsen had 28 assists as the Spartans downed the Jaguars, 25-3, 25-16, 25-17.

Salvador Garcia contributed 10 kills, four aces and two blocks for the Spartans.

Travis Nofoa had 13 digs to lead Desert Pines.
