ROUNDUP: Estocado, Gorman grab tournament title from Falcons

Shelby Estocado went 2-for-3 with two runs to help the Gales to a 5-3 victory over Foothill in the championship game of the Kick Off the Season Tournament at Gorman.

Jasmine Gibson and Miranda Robles each had a double for the Gaels.

Alexia Campbell was 2-for-4 with a run for the Falcons.

Bishop Gorman 6, Bishop Manogue 4 — At Bishop Gorman, Estocado ripped a grand slam in the first inning and the Gaels scored twice in the fourth to top the Miners in the Kick Off the Season Tournament.

Dayton Yingling went the distance, striking out six for Gorman.

Jocelyn Young went 3-for-3 with an RBI for Manogue.

Bishop Gorman 10, Campbell Hall (Calif.) 0 — At Bishop Gorman, Miranda Robles and Yingling each went 2-for-2 with two RBIs to power the Gaels to a four-inning victory in the Kick Off the Season Tournament.

Gorman’s first six batters of the game scored en route to the lopsided win.  

Legacy 4, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Legacy, the Longhorns rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth to top the Crusaders.

Alyssa Sotelo’s two-run triple gave Legacy the lead.

Gaby Rinker went 2-for-4, and Alysia Santos fired a five-hitter for Legacy. Santos struck out six with no walks.
