ROUNDUP: Quartet helps Arbor View girls breeze to win

Cheyenne Leonard, Brianna Arvizo, Jocelyn Jordan and DaQuonda Clay each won two events Wednesday to lead Arbor View’s girls track team to a 121-25 road victory over Palo Verde.

Leonard took the 1,600-meter run in 5 minutes, 3.2 seconds, and won the 3,200 in 10:59.5.

Arvizo won the 100 hurdles (18.4) and 300 hurdles (52.9), Jordan took the long jump (14 feet, 11 inches) and triple jump (34-4) and Clay was first in the shot put (37-7½) and discus (94-7).

Adams, Nelson lead Bengals
At Bonanza, Emily Adams, Sianna Nelson and Vasati Fiatoa each won two events to power the Bengals to a 95-46 win over Bishop Gorman.

Adams won the 1,600 (5:58.6) and 3,200 (12:40.9), Nelson took the 300 hurdles (49.1) and triple jump (33-10) and Fiatoa was first in the shot put (34-3½) and discus (89-3).

Gorman’s Vashti Cunningham won the high jump (5-9) and long jump (17-4).

Tollestrup, Diamondbacks beat Cimarron
At Desert Oasis, Addison Tollestrup won the long jump (14-3½) and triple jump (30-4½) to help the Diamondbacks to a 96-46 vicory over Cimarron-Memorial.

Courtney Scheller finished first in the shot put (27-10) and second in the discus (72-9) for Desert Oasis.

Rowlette, Bulldogs rout Legacy
At Legacy, Tyler Rowlette and Tiana Bonds each won two events to help Centennial to a 102-33 victory over the Longhorns.

Rowlette won the 200 (25.6) and 400 (59.2), and Bonds took the 100 hurdles (14.2) and 300 hurdles (44.3).

Klarisah Harris won the shot put (28-4) and discus (100-0½) for Legacy.

Mustangs top Trailblazers
At Durango, Ashley Pierce won the shot put (25-6) and discus (106-3½) to lead Shadow Ridge to a 76-55 win over the Trailblazers.

Durango’s Emily Casale was first in the 100 hurdles (17.4) and 300 hurdles (47.5), and teammate Virginia Salazar-Sandoval  won the 1,600 (6:02.7) and 3,200 (13:00.1).

Trio helps Mountain Lions to win
At Spring Valley, Morgan O’Neal, Zahaira Romero and Alexa Rash each won two individual events to help Sierra Vista to victory in a three-team meet.

O’Neal took the 100 in 12.0 and the 200 in 25.9. Romero won the shot put (30-5) and discus (70-9), and Rash took the long jump (13-4) and triple jump (27-9).

Sierra Vista had 88 points. Spring Valley was second with 49, followed by The Meadows with 36.
