ROUNDUP: Carter leads Valley boys to win over Mustangs

Sean Carter had 29 assists, 12 digs, three aces and two blocks to help Valley’s boys volleyball team to a 25-15, 21-25, 25-20, 25-20 win over visiting Shadow Ridge on Tuesday.

Lorenzo Capannolo had 13 kills and 12 digs, and David Delaney added 27 digs and two aces for the Vikings, who got 11 digs, nine kills and two blocks from Jack Heavey.

Jalen Makaiwi paced Shadow Ridge with 16 assists and two aces. A.J. Makaiwi had 32 digs, and Richard Sterling added nine kills and two aces for the Mustangs.

Desert Oasis 3, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Saunoa Afoa had 14 kills, and Quade Huff added 13 kills and four blocks to help the Diamondbacks to a 25-19, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18 win over the Rams.

Nate Norr had 15 digs, six kills and three aces, and Matt Makovnyk supplied 22 digs for Desert Oasis.

Aaron Robles dished out 28 assists, and Darnel Gorme had 12 kills for Rancho, which got eight kills and four blocks from Montef Hargrove.

Arbor View 3, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Chris Heron had 41 assists to help lead the Aggies over the Spartans, 31-33, 25-15, 25-23, 25-19.

Darrell Swanson had 11 kills, and Peter Peck supplied 19 digs for Arbor View.

Kyle Henriksen had 16 kills and 10 digs for Cimarron, which got 13 kills from Salvador Garcia.

Foothill 3, Bonanza 1 — At Foothill, Caleb Hutchinson had 10 kills and five aces to lead the Falcons to a 25-19, 19-25, 25-23, 25-16 win over the Bengals.

Kendell Andrews had 25 kills for Foothill, and teammate Jordan Primo added 29 assists.

Kavanaugh Buck had five kills and five blocks for Bonanza, which got five kills and six digs from Kellen Layne.

Centennial 3, Green Valley 0 — At Centennial, Blake Frischknecht had 13 kills, and Hunter Stratton had 11 kills, six digs and three blocks to power the Bulldogs to a 25-11, 25-17, 25-23 victory over the Gators.

Julian Lupo had 29 assists for Centennial, and teammate Conner Morris had nine digs and seven aces.

Jake Johnson led Green Valley with 11 kills and two digs, and Arvin Nitollana added 15 assists for the Gators.

Coronado 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Coronado, Max Osmundsen had 10 kills, nine digs and two blocks to lead the Cougars to a 25-11, 25-14, 25-20 victory over the Wildcats.

Tyler Cucullu added six kills and two aces for Coronado.

T.J. Esporsa led Las Vegas with 10 kills and five digs, and teammate Blake Burgess had six kills and three blocks.

Tech 3, Spring Valley 2 — At Spring Valley, Tyler Gardenhire had 15 kills and seven digs as the Roadrunners outlasted the Grizzlies, 22-25, 25-20, 25-21, 14-25, 17-15.

Miguel Garcia added six kills, 10 digs and six blocks, and teammate Josh Wood had 24 assists and five aces for Tech.

Jim Tran had 16 kills, and Donald Keith added 12 kills and seven blocks for Spring Valley, which got 60 digs from Wayne Luk.
