ROUNDUP: Sunrise Mountain boys slip by Roadrunners

Jovon Kirtley made two free throws with 14 seconds left, and Sunrise Mountain rebounded a missed shot by Tech in the closing seconds to secure a 66-64 home victory.

Zane Gibbs led the Miners with 21 points, and teammate Shmarlio Tolliver scored 18.

Josh West scored 13 points, and Elijah Robertson and Bryan Catenza each supplied 10 points for Tech, which converted 18 of 22 free throws.

Cheyenne 62, Cimarron-Memorial 52 —
At Cimarron, Bryan Laws had 10 of his 18 points in the third quarter to help the Desert Shields top the Spartans.

Laws also had 11 rebounds for Cheyenne, which outscored Cimarron 21-12 in the third quarter to take a 43-37 lead.

Stephen Miller added 12 points, and teammate Edward Shaw scored 11 for the Desert Shields.

Joe McKellar led Cimarron with 16 points. Tyler Willinsky and J.C. Broussard added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Spartans.

Desert Pines 71, Boulder City 51 — At Boulder City, Re’meake Keith had 14 points to help the Jaguars top the Eagles.

Julian Jacobs added 13 points, and Malik Davis and Coby Myles each scored 11 for Desert Pines, which outscored Boulder City 28-7 in the third quarter to pull away.

Boulder City’s Kaleb Bailey led all scorers with 28 points.

Sierra Vista 53, Bonanza 38 — At Bonanza, Alec DeMarrias had 12 points, and Apollo Corley scored 10 to lead the Mountain Lions over the Bengals.

Mikko Balmes finished with nine points for Sierra Vista, which outscored Bonanza 18-6 in the fourth quarter.

Rio Justice Chandler led Bonanza with nine points.

Chaparral 58, Virgin Valley 43 — At Mesquite, Tyree McNeal scored 15 points to help the Cowboys defeat the Bulldogs.

Jared Celestine added 12 points, and Jason Jonshon scored 10 for Chaparral, which took control in the third quarter.

Garrett Leavitt led Virgin Valley with 16 points. Dee Bowle added 13 points, and Tyson Teerlink scored 10 for the Bulldogs.

Shadow Ridge 64, Silverado 47 — At Shadow Ridge, Terrell Bowden scored 12 of his 22 points in the second quarter to help the Mustangs top the Skyhawks.

Shadow Ridge outscored the Skyhawks 20-7 in the second quarter to take a 28-20 halftime lead.

Serph Decker added 14 points, and Kealyn Butler scored 10 for the Mustangs.

Joe Baldi led Silverado with 15 points, and teammate Lamel Dixon scored 14.

Faith Lutheran 66, Western 25 — At Western, D’Khari Hicks and Clayton Holthaus each scored 12 points to help the Crusaders beat the Warriors.

D.J. Manning added seven points for Faith Lutheran, which led 36-12 at the half.

Vadell Wilson led Western with six points.

Del Sol 63, Moapa Valley 48 — At Overton, Noah Spearman and Tyrone Rouse each scored 12 points as the Dragons defeated the Pirates.

Eduardo Romero scored 11 points for Del Sol, which outscored Moapa Valley 17-2 in the first quarter.

Andrew Huerta led Moapa Valley with 14 points, and Justin Hughes contributed 13 points for the Pirates.

Elko 77, Spring Valley 63 — At Spring Valley, Nathan Klekas scored 28 points to help the Indians defeat the Grizzlies.

Terrell Lee scored 18 points to lead Spring Valley, which fell short with a second-half rally. Teammate Dionte Humphrey added 12 points.

Agassi Prep 58, Calvary Chapel 53 — At Calvary Chapel, Dennis Walker scored 13 points as the Stars tamed the Lions.

Wa’t Manor and Dwane Thomas each had 11 points for Agassi Prep.

Zac Yates led Calvary Chapel with 18 points, and Drew Hammond contributed 14 points for the Lions.

Lake Mead 58, The Meadows 34 — At The Meadows, Justin Yamzon scored 30 points to help the Eagles roll past the Mustangs.

Caleb Pitman added 12 points for Lake Mead, which jumped to a 19-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.

R.J. Haskins led The Meadows with 10 points.

Lincoln County 62, Needles 43 — At Panaca, Ryan Rippetoe had 22 points and seven rebounds, and the Lynx outscored the Mustangs 27-13 in the fourth quarter to get the win.

Chandler Katschke added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Seth Culverwell scored 10 for Lincoln County.

Devin Truscott led Needles with 14 points. Broc Loftin had 11 points, and Masno Cisneros scored 10 for the Mustangs.

Pahranagat Valley JV 46, Indian Springs 29 — At Indian Springs, Shawn Wadsworth scored 25 points to lead the Panthers’ junior varsity over the Thunderbirds.

Tristan Thomas had 10 points to pace Indian Springs.

Beatty 57, Pahrump Valley JV 35 — At Beatty, Jake Zamora scored 17 points and Carlos Gomez added 14 points to lead the Hornets over the Trojans’ junior varisty.

Chris Dunlap contributed 12 points for Beatty.
