ROUNDUP: Gator girls sink Dragons at foul line

Maggie Manwarren scored 15 points, and Green Valley’s girls basketball team hit 9 of 10 free throws in the fourth quarter Friday en route to a 49-45 win at Del Sol.

Rianna Rudolph added 12 points, and Milena Palor scored 10 for the Gators.

Rela Coleman had 16 points, and Melissa DeSantiago scored 11 for the Dragons, who used a 10-0 third-quarter run to erase a 30-20 halftime deficit.

Bonanza 65, Cheyenne 53 — At Bonanza, Trane’e Jenkins had 23 points and 12 rebounds to power the Bengals past the Desert Shields.

Alyssa Powers chipped in with 14 points and six steals for Bonanza, and teammate Tanganika Hunt added 13 points.

Jomea Lopez-Bobbitt led Cheyenne with 14 points. Lajuana Brown and Larice Harper each scored 10 points for the Desert Shields.

Foothill 62, Durango 53 —
At Foothill, Taylor Turney scored 24 points to lead the Falcons past the Trailblazers.

Anaya Rodisha scored 20 for Foothill, which led 35-22 at the half and held on for the win.

Durango’s Jazmine Chavez poured in 31 points.

Las Vegas 57, Legacy 42 —
At Las Vegas, Shomari Harris had 22 points, five assists, and four rebounds to lift the Wildcats past the Longhorns.

Matti Ventling contributed 18 points for Las Vegas.

Deja Brown led Legacy with 13 points, and Tatyanna Brown and Tori Payne each had eight points for the Longhorns.

Liberty 65, Canyon Springs 52 — At Liberty, Sydney Clark scored 18 points to lead the Patriots past the Pioneers.

Paris Strawther helped Liberty with 11 points and 12 rebounds, and teammate Tae’lor Monroe added 11 points and four steals. Jazzmin O’Bannon scored 10 for Liberty.

Cherise Beynon led Canyon Springs with 15 points, and teammate Daijhan Cooks scored 11.

Tech 28, Pahrump Valley 24 —
At Pahrump, the Roadrunners took over early in overtime and held on to edge the Trojans.

Clarissa Szluha scored eight points to lead Tech, and teammate Jasmine Haywood came off the bench to score seven.

Shayla Dance scored eight points for Pahrump, which scored just one point in overtime.

Chaparral 58, Spring Valley 38 — At Spring Valley, Unique Wilson scored 20 points, and the Cowboys bolted to a 37-14 halftime lead on their way to a win over the Grizzlies.

Tichina Savoy added 17 points for Chaparral.

Jessica Stevens had 14 points for Spring Valley.

Centennial 63, Palo Verde 17 — At Centennial, Tamera Williams scored 18 points to help the Bulldogs roll to a victory over the Panthers.

Jada Brown added 15 points for Centennial, which led 49-8 at halftime.

Ioana Ganeva led Palo Verde with seven points.

Faith Lutheran 49, Spring Creek 44 — At Reno, Taylor Hammer had eight points, 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots to help the Crusaders top the Spartans in the High Sierra Invitational.

Dani Tharaldson had 10 points, Sam Leonard scored nine and Julia Benko had eight for Faith Lutheran.

Madi Estes led Spring Creek with 18 points.

Arbor View 43, Rancho 41 — At Arbor View, Ariona Gill had 12 points, and the Aggies grabbed a 32-24 lead after three quarters and held off the Rams.

LaKissa Martin scored 14 points, and Darje Martin added 12 points to lead Rancho.

Whitney Young (Ill.) 75, Bishop Gorman 45 — At Chicago, Linnae Harper scored 21 points to help the Dolphins cruise past the Gaels.

April Rivers scored 12 points to lead Gorman, which kept it close until the Dolphins used a 26-9 run in the third quarter. Raychel Stanley added 11 points, and Tonishia Childress scored 10 for the Gaels.

Moapa Valley 49, Pine View (Utah) 43 — At Overton, Kimberly Lewis had 16 points, and the Pirates led 37-24 after three quarters and held on to defeat the Panthers.

Melissa Judd scored 10 points for Pine View.

Pahranagat Valley 35, Calvary Chapel 34 — At Alamo, Kennedy Huntsman’s basket with 44 seconds left lifted the Panthers by the Lions.

Bailee Hosier had 14 points to lead Pahranagat Valley, which rallied from a 26-20 deficit after three quarters.

Lianne Reyes led the Lions with 12 points, and teammate Phallen Nelson scored 10.

Fairmont Prep (Calif.) 69, Mountain View 27 — At Anaheim, Calif., Blaysen Varnadoe had 24 points, and Samantha Clement added 22 points as the Huskies blitzed the Saints in the Husky Invitational.

Kiley Murphy led Mountain View with eight points.

Legacy and Canyon Springs couldn’t keep up in the Class 4A girls basketball state semifinals. The Southern Region representatives in 3A also were eliminated.
