ROUNDUP: Tech boys top Eagles, complete perfect regular season
Julio Vargas scored two goals, and Rafael Munoz notched a goal and four assists Wednesday to help Tech’s boys soccer team complete a perfect regular season with a 6-1 home win over Boulder City.
Salvador Garcia had a goal and an assist, and Gerardo Castillo and Erik Gonzalez each tallied a goal for the Roadrunners (18-0).
Yann Moncayo scored for the Eagles.
Bishop Gorman 3, Legacy 0 — At Gorman, Shawn Slattery and Rian McEvoy each scored a first-half goal to lead the Gaels by the Longhorns.
Blake Balelo also scored for Gorman.
Goalkeepers Thomas Olsen and Austin Mack each recorded two saves to combine on the shutout for the Gaels.
Cimarron-Memorial 6, Bonanza 2 — At Cimarron, Oso Valencia had two goals, and Johnny Grieco and Salvador Garcia each added a goal and an assist as the Spartans downed the Bengals.
Scotty Robles and Johnny Centeno scored a goal apiece for Cimarron.
Jose Gallegos scored both Bonanza goals.
Faith Lutheran 3, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Faith Lutheran, D’Khari Hicks and Harut Khachoyan each notched a goal and an assist to help the Crusaders beat the Trojans.
Dylan Check added a goal for Faith Lutheran.
Efren Herrera scored for Pahrump.
Western 3, Clark 1 — At Western, Edgar Lujano scored twice, and Jose Castillo added two assists to lead the Warriors past the Chargers.
Luis Ponce also scored for Western.
Victor Alvarez converted a penalty-kick for Clark.
Centennial 1, Desert Oasis 1 — At Desert Oasis, the Bulldogs and Diamondbacks exchaned first half goals as they played to a tie.
Mason Panos scored for Centennial, and Diego Hidalgo had Desert Oasis' goal.
Desert Pines 1, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Jaguars and Miners each scored a first-half goal as the teams played to a tie.
Diego Sanchez scored for Desert Pines, and Javier Castillo scored Sunrise Mountain's goal.
Herbie Lopez had nine saves for Sunrise Mountain.
Virgin Valley 1, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, Moises Medina scored on an assist from Rafael Gonzalez with eight minutes left, giving the Bulldogs the win over the Pirates.
Domingo Ramirez had six saves and earned the shutout for Virgin Valley.
Mojave 1, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Ivan Martinez’s second-half goal sent the Rattlers past the Desert Shields.
Gulmaro Falcon registered the shutout for Mojave.
