ROUNDUP: Perryman, Richards help Faith Lutheran girls sweep Trojans, wrap up I-A Sunset title

Gianni Perryman had 11 assists and six digs, and Taylor Richards added nine aces and four digs Wednesday as Faith Lutheran’s girls volleyball team clinched the Division I-A Sunset League title with a 25-10, 25-11, 25-9 sweep of visiting Pahrump Valley.

Taylor Hammer had five kills and two blocks, and Cayla Nikodemus supplied five kills for the Crusaders.

Valley 3, Canyon Springs 2 —
At Canyon Springs, Liza Aperacho served two of her four aces in the fifth set, helping the Vikings rally from a 10-5 final-set deficit to post a 25-21, 24-26, 25-20, 14-25, 15-13 win over the Pioneers.

Taylor Sandhu registered 21 assists, five digs, four aces and three kills, and Gabby Cabanero had 13 kills for Valley. Diva Carter supplied three kills, three aces and seven digs, and Aperacho also had six digs for the Vikings.

Summer Asturi contributed 25 digs for Canyon Springs, and teammate Natasha Montano had 12 assists. Sydney Morris spiked seven kills, and Emily Tuala served seven aces for the Pioneers.

Palo Verde 3, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Stephanie Herman had 28 assists, seven aces, five digs and four kills to help the Panthers to an easy sweep of the Grizzlies, 25-14, 25-12, 25-7.

Kendall Cheval had 10 kills and five aces, and Lexi Riggs provided seven kills and seven digs for Palo Verde.

Nicole Rafay had five kills and five blocks, and Hannah Karas supplied nine digs for Spring Valley.

Shadow Ridge 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Niehely Sosa had 16 kills to lead the Mustangs to a 25-22, 25-11, 25-10 win over the Trailblazers.

Jasmine Burton supplied 15 digs for Shadow Ridge.

Cheyanne Haas contributed nine digs and five kills for Durango, which got three blocks from Chelsea Foreman.

Sierra Vista 3, Arbor View 0 — At Sierra Vista, Shelby Stiles recorded 11 assists, nine digs, and eight kills to help the Mountain Lions to a 25-19, 25-21, 25-22 sweep of the Aggies.

Sydney Land added 10 blocks for Sierra Vista.

Sam Bales had eight kills, and Lauren Precia supplied six aces to lead Arbor View.

Green Valley 3, Las Vegas 0 — At Green Valley, Jenna Swaffer dished out 31 assists, and Carly Schiess had 19 kills, six digs and three aces as the Gators swept the Wildcats 25-13, 25-20, 25-22.

Bridgette Dwyer had six kills and three blocks, and Kayla Helm supplied three digs for Green Valley.

Matti Ventling had 16 assists and five aces, and Marissa Lair provided nine digs and six kills for Las Vegas, which got 13 digs from Anjelica Ashworth.

Silverado 3, Rancho 0 — At Silverado, Morgan Little had 20 assists, and Briana Troisi added 15 digs to power the Skyhawks to a 25-17, 25-20, 25-14 win over the Rams.

Kayla Agae supplied 15 kills and five blocks, and Lauren Purdy contributed seven kills and seven blocks for Silverado, which got seven kills from Amari Norris.

Monet Wilson had 12 digs and five assists, and Sydney Stankowsky recorded seven digs and six kills to lead Rancho.

Clark 3, Western 0 — At Western, Claire Law notched 15 assists, and Emi Asanoa spiked 10 kills as the  Chargers swept the Warriors 25-11, 25-19, 25-18.

Shelly Tang had five kills and three blocks, and Schea Mores supplied five digs for Clark, which got four kills from June Roberts.

Western got four kills from Capricia Pierce and three kills from Yatzi Carranza.

Cheyenne 3, Mojave 0 — At Cheyenne, Jenna Mecham had nine kills and two aces, and Jasmine Spurlock contributed seven assists, three aces and two kills in the Desert Shields’ 25-22, 25-15, 25-16 sweep of the Rattlers.

Davion Foster had five aces and two kills, and Aubriana Barrera had two kills for Cheyenne.

Ray Ena Rael had eight digs and four kills, and Pamela Martin added six kills for Mojave. Rebecca Espinoza had eight digs for the Rattlers.

The Meadows 3, Bishop Gorman JV 1 — At The Meadows, Alex Hall had 15 kills and 15 digs to lead the Mustangs to a 25-22, 25-23, 15-25, 25-16 win over the Gaels' junior varsity team.

Nikki Lenardson had seven kills, seven blocks and three aces for The Meadows, which got 17 digs and two aces from Victoria Onufrieff and six kills and six digs from Amber Peterson.
