Cater’s late score gives Skyhawks win over Vikings

Silverado's Alex Cater scored on a 1-yard touchdown with 15 seconds left in the fourth quarter Friday to lift the Skyhawks (4-2, 1-1 Northeast) to a 30-23 road win over Valley (1-5, 0-2).
Quarterback Marquise Edward set up the winning score with a 33-yard fourth-down pass to a wide-open Austin Hunt with just over a minute remaining.
Cater ran for 178 yards and two touchdowns on 38 carries.
Valley took a 23-22 lead with 8:27 remaining after an errant snap on a punt by Silverado deep in Skyhawks territory. Tyrone Prewitt scored on a 6-yard run to put the Vikings on top.
Dillard Davis led Valley with 75 yards on the ground.
