Lopez, Gators top Vikings

Green Valley's Christian Lopez accounted for 185 total yards and four touchdowns Friday as the seventh-ranked Gators (4-1, 1-0 Northeast) routed visiting Valley (1-4, 0-1) 49-0.

Lopez was 9 of 20 passing for 126 yards, and threw two touchdown passes to Kyler Chavez, who made four catches for 75 yards.

Lopez also rushed for two TDs while carrying seven times for 59 yards. Gino Jonassaint also ran for two scores and gained 81 yards on 11 carries.

Green Valley’s defense forced four turnovers, had five sacks and held Valley to 47 yards.

For Valley, Kennedy Williams made four catches and Eric Burrell had two sacks.
