ROUNDUP: Ponce, Warriors top Cheyenne boys

Luis Ponce had two goals and two assists Tuesday to lead Western’s boys soccer team to a 4-0 victory over visiting Cheyenne.

Edgar Lujano also scored twice for the Warriors, who got two assists from Fernando Caro.

Jose Bautista was in goal for the shutout.

Eldorado 4, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Eldorado, Andres Lua scored three goals as the Sundevils downed the Spartans.

Chris Perez added a goal, and Edgar Duran had two assists for Eldorado.

Johnny Centeno scored for Cimarron.

Centennial 4, Sierra Vista 0 — At Centennial, Eric Sanchez had a goal and two assists as the Bulldogs blanked the Mountain Lions.

Mason Panos, Miguel Nieto and Anders Saaby each notched a goal for Centennial, and goalkeeper Aiden Parker recorded the shutout.

Legacy 4, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, the Longhorns scored two goals in each half, and goalkeeper Daniel Diaz had five saves to earn the shutout over the Skyhawks.

Antonio Velazquez, Rodolfo Robles, Ismael Gomez, and Ivan Rodriguez each scored a goal for Legacy.

Boulder City 4, Chaparral 2 — At Boulder City, Yann Moncayo scored two goals to help the Eagles beat the Cowboys.

Jake Weirich added a goal for Boulder City, which also benefitted from an own goal.

Jose Morales scored both goals for Chaparral.

Tech 5, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Tech, Julio Vargas scored three goals to lift the Roadrunners over the Mustangs.

Salvador Garcia added two goals and an assist for Tech, and teammate Rafael Munoz had two assists.

Christian Mojarro made five saves in the shutout.

Sunrise Mountain 5, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Anthony Lucero scored twice to lift the Miners to the win over the Pirates.

Raciel Jiminez, Edwin Solorzan and Pedro Guzman each added a goal for Sunrise Mountain.

Ryan VanDerzwet scored for Moapa Valley.

Pahrump Valley 9, Adelson School 1 — At Pahrump, Raul Maldonado scored three goals, and Nick Nelson added two goals and an assist to help the Trojans rout the Lions.

Jose Nunez added a goal and two assists, and Aaron Alcaraz, Efren Herrera and Adrian Maldonado also scored for Pahrump, which got two assists from Hiram Castro.

Mendi Berrebi scored for Adelson.

Clark 1, Mojave 1 — At Clark, Lynno Muro scored in the second half to give the Rattlers a tie with the Chargers.

Vincent Moreau-Alarie scored for Clark in the first half.

Rancho 13, Basic 0 — At Rancho, Brandon Contreras and Aaron Ortiz each had three goals and an assist as the Rams rolled over the Wolves.

Miguel Diaz-Ortiz added two goals and two assists, and Jorge Garcia and Hector Martinez each had a goal and two assists for Rancho.

Christian Ayala, Keagan Dickinson and Marlon Espana also scored for the Rams.

Desert Pines 3, Virgin Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Genaro Corona scored twice, and Luis Rivera added two assists as the Jaguars held off the Bulldogs.

Fernando Ruiz also scored for Desert Pines, which led 3-0 at the half.

Tony Villalobos and Moises Medina scored second-half goals for Virgin Valley.

Faith Lutheran 0, The Meadows 0 — At The Meadows, Kwaku Kufuor made six saves to help the Mustangs earn a scoreless tie with the Crusaders.

Carter Bishop made three saves for Faith Lutheran.
