ROUNDUP: Heerema paces Mustang girls to victory in three-team meet

Jeneke Heerema won a 3.1-mile race in 22 minutes, 16 seconds to lead The Meadows’ girls cross country team to victory in a three-team meet Wednesday at Western.
The Meadows scored 26 points, topping Western (30) and Mojave (64).
The Meadows took the top three spots, with Bailey Gosse finishing second in 23:18 and Krista Thompson third in 25:43.
Brooks, Spartans roll past Longhorns
At Legacy, Julianna Brooks won a 3-mile race in 21:11 to help Cimarron-Memorial post a win over Legacy, which had only three runners finish the race.
Cimarron’s Tiana Callejo was second in 22:52, and teammate Rachel Sawyer took third in 23:12.
Roadrunners outrun Virgin Valley, Moapa Valley
At Tech, Taylor Coss (22:58) and Abigail Torres (24:31) took the top two spots in the 3.1-mile race to lead the Roadrunners to a first-place finish with 21 points.
Virgin Valley’s Abby Barnard was third in 24:38, and the Bulldogs finished second as a team with 35. Moapa Valley had 65.
Badger, Bulldogs dominate
At Bonanza, Sydney Badger won a 2.5-mile race in 14:37 to lead Centennial to a 17-43 victory over the Bengals.
Centennial’s Katie Gorczyca was second in 15:11, and teammate Shelby Gibbons was third in 16:02.
Cowboys edge Miners
At Chaparral, the Cowboys took two of the top three spots to edge Sunrise Mountain, 27-29.
Sunrise Mountain’s Ebonique Diaz won the 2.5-mile race in 21:57. Chaparral’s Linda Sue Luchsinger (24:11) and Jenny Berelleza (25:40) finished second and third, respectively.
Depth leads Skyhawks to victory
At Canyon Springs, Silverado had three of the top five finishers on its way to a 25-36 victory over the Pioneers.
Canyon Springs’ Brooklyn Allison won the 2.8-mile race in 20:35, and teammate Minniya Wilson was second in 20:44.
Silverado’s Kylie Anderson took third in 22:02.
Vikings post win over Rams
At Valley, the Vikings placed two of the top three finishers on their way to a 21-31 victory over the Rams.
Rancho’s Emy Rodriguez won the 3.0-mile race in 20:33.3.
Valley’s Jerry Betemanriam took second in 20:37.4, followed by teammate Kerri Paasche in 21:49.6.
Pavlov, Crusaders down Clark
At Faith Lutheran, Hannah Pavlov won a 3.1-mile race in 20:49 and helped the Crusaders to a 22-33 win over Clark.
Leah Holleran finished second for Faith Lutheran in 21:24. Clark’s Carrie Rastello finished third in 21:44.
Mustangs parade to victory
At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs had the top 10 finishers and breezed to a win in a three-team meet.
Ciara Jackson won the 2.9-mile race in 20:25, with teammates Gina Ewing-DiBari (20:32), Sydney
Frasier (20:34), Brittany Nenneman (20:36) and Jessica Graf (20:37) rounding out the top five.
Shadow Ridge scored 15 points to Spring Valley’s 50. Indian Springs had only one finisher.
