ROUNDUP: Doubles team propels Spartans by Longhorns

Tiersa Schultz and Lilly Garcia went 3-0 in doubles Monday to lead Cimarron-Memorial’s girls tennis team to an 11-7 home win over Legacy.

Tiffany Hargrove was 2-0 in singles, and teammate Henriette Blaak went 2-1 for the Spartans.

The Longhorns’ Peppina Rahkonen was 3-0 in singles, and teammates Haley Strong and Hailey Stolworthy teamed to go 2-1 in doubles.

Rancho 11, Valley 7 — At Valley, Charmaine Andes and Jenny Deng were 3-0 in doubles to help the Rams top the Vikings.

Emily Tran and Alurea Stevens each went 2-1 in singles for Rancho.

Brooke Harding was 3-0 in singles, and Olivia Jensen and Stephanie Taing went 2-1 in doubles for Valley.

Basic 12, Del Sol 6 — At Basic, Paige Blake went 2-0 in singles to help the Wolves beat the Dragons.

Amber Long and Hailey Collins were 2-0 in doubles for Basic.

Del Sol’s Janai McDonald and Alina Marruffo went 3-0 in doubles.

Bonanza 12, Desert Oasis 6 — At Bonanza, Emma Nelson and Lauren Smith each went 3-0 in singles to help the Bengals defeat the Diamondbacks.

Adrienne Millow and Maddie Sutton combined to go 3-0 in doubles for Bonanza.

Bishop Gorman 15, Centennial 3 — At Centennial, Marisol Avilla went 3-0 in singles to lead the Gaels past the Bulldogs.

Monika Ryan and Alexandria Gordon each went 2-0 in singles to help Gorman.

McKay Novak and Danielle Gordon teamed to go 2-0 in doubles for Centennial.

Moapa Valley 12, Chaparral 6 — At Moapa Valley, Holly Rust and Alex Waite went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Pirates over the Cowboys.

Jennessa Gates, Sydney Widdison and Sophia Andersson each went 2-1 in singles for Moapa Valley.

Ginger Siu led Chaparral, going 3-0 in singles. 

Desert Pines 11, Tech 7 — At Desert Pines, the doubles teams of Mekham Singkhamta and Ashley Palacios, and Dianne Esteller and Christine Berja each went 3-0 as the Jaguars topped the Roadrunners.

Liberty 10, Foothill 8 — At Liberty, Cionne Gourrier and Sheen Kachen went 3-0 in doubles to help the Patriots edge the Falcons.

Coronado 17, Eldorado 1 — At Eldorado, Paris Reese and Nicole Gardner each went 2-0 in singles as the Cougars topped the Sundevils.

Coronado’s doubles teams of Marina Arriola and Lauren Coons, and Marlee Allison and Natalie Klock each went 2-0.

Silverado 12, Canyon Springs 6 — At Silverado, Katie Barker was 3-0 in singles to help the Skyhawks beat the Pioneers.

Boulder City 15, Virgin Valley 3 — At Mesquite, Aiyana Donske was 3-0 in singles as the Eagles rolled past the Bulldogs.

Sierra Vista 14, Arbor View 4 — At Sierra Vista, the Mountain Lions tamed the Aggies.

Shadow Ridge 10, Durango 8 — At Shadow Ridge, the Mustangs edged the Trailblazers.

Green Valley 12, Las Vegas 6 — At Green Valley, the Gators topped the Wildcats.

Adelson School 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Lions won by forfeit.

Faith Lutheran 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, the Crusaders won by forfeit.
