ROUNDUP: Martinez notches hat trick as Canyon Springs’ boys tame Wildcats

Jonathan Martinez scored three of Canyon Springs’ five second-half goals Wednesday to lead the Pioneers to a 5-1 home win over Las Vegas’ boys soccer team.

Mario Corral added two goals for Canyon Springs, which trailed 1-0 at the half.

Alexis Berrios scored for Las Vegas.

Coronado 1, Basic 0 — At Basic, Nicholas Manasewitsch scored the game’s only goal to give the Cougars a  win over Basic.

Goalkeeper Cody Capps earned the shutout for Coronado.

Sierra Vista 3, Spring Valley 1 — At Spring Valley, Truitt Evans, Giovanni Amaya and Miles McRae each netted a second-half goal to lead the Mountain Lions over the Grizzlies.

Joey Padfield scored for Spring Valley.

Del Sol 2, Foothill 0 —  At Del Sol, Randy Delemos scored two goals, and goalkeeper Juan Mendoza earned the shutout as the Dragons blanked the Falcons.

Rancho 3, Silverado 3 — At Silverado, Aaron Ortiz had two goals to help the Rams erase a 2-1 halftime deficit and tie the Skyhawks.

Hector Martinez also scored for Rancho.

Oscar Guzman provided a goal and an assist for Silverado, which got a goal each from Lucas Tovar and Ian DuBoe.

Eldorado 3, Liberty 1 — At Liberty, Edgar Duran had a goal and an assist to lead the Sundevils past the Patriots.

Andres Lua and Chris Perez also scored for Eldorado.

Chandler Prasad scored for Liberty.

Durango 1, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Cristoval Magana’s goal with 12 minutes remaining allowed the Trailblazers to tie the Mustangs.

Guillermo Nava scored for Shadow Ridge.

Palo Verde 1, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Austin Manthey’s goal with eight minutes remaining lifted the Panthers by the Aggies.

Nishant Yadav made six saves en route to the shutout.

Green Valley 6, Valley 0 — At Valley, the Gators scored three goals in each half to down the Vikings.

Alex Stransky, Roberto Rodriguez, Gitai Gizala, James Coronel, Daniel Mojica and Antonio Trama each scored for Green Valley.
