ROUNDUP: Liberty boys claim top six spots, top Del Sol

Colin Schultz won a 2.6-mile race in 14 minutes, 50.4 seconds Wednesday to lead Liberty’s boys cross country team to a 15-48 home victory over Del Sol.
Liberty claimed the top six spots.
Jonathan George was second in 16:08.3, and Alex Grant took third in 16:11.4.
Rios, Crusaders blitz Western
At Faith Lutheran, Alesio Rios won a 3.1-mile race in 18:57, leading the Crusaders to an 18-41 win over Western.
Chase Wood was second in 20:22 and Brandon McCormick finished third in 21:05 for Faith Lutheran.
Carter, Bulldogs run to victory
At Centennial, Jackson Carter won a 3.1-mile race in 18:01 to lead the Bulldogs to a 15-50 victory over Legacy.
Centennial’s Dajour Braxton was second in 18:15, and teammate Justin Galaviz took third in 18:40.
Chargers roll over Desert Shields
At Clark, Mucuranyana Amon won a 3-mile race in 16:53 to help Clark roll to a 22-40 victory over the Desert Shields.
Clark’s Charles Bennion was second in 18:14, and teammate Shane Cashin took third in 18:17.
Zimdars, Tech win
At Tech, the Roadrunners had the top two finishers on their way to a 20-59 victory over Chaparral.
Tech’s Zach Zimdars won the 3.1-mile race in 19:11, followed by teammate Miguel Garcia in 19:52.
Aman, Skyhawks roll
At Silverado, Jon Aman won a 2.37-mile race in 14:02 to help the Skyhawks roll to an 18-39 victory over Rancho.
Silverado’s Tyler Barnard was second in 14:30, followed by teammate Asimwe Oben-Nyarko in 15:14.
Torres, Wildcats win easily
At Valley, Hector Ortega-Torres won a 3-mile race in 17:39 to lead Las Vegas past Valley, which didn’t compile a team score.
Las Vegas’ Miguel Ramirez was second in 17:50, and teammate Emmerson Havener took third in 19:14.
Oberdin, Mustangs dominate
At Shadow Ridge, Nick Oberdin won a 3.1-mile race in 18:57 to lead the Mustangs to a 15-50 rout of Sierra Vista.
David Peters was second in 19:01 for Shadow Ridge, which took the top 18 spots.
Garrett Simpson took third in 19:17.
GIRLS
Emy Rodriguez won a 2.37-mile race in 18:59 to lift Rancho’s girls to a 20-37 victory at Silverado.
Raquel Rivas was second in 19:07 for Rancho, which took four of the top five spots.
Silverado’s Rachel Katz was third in 19:08.
Patriots top Dragons
At Liberty, Kayla Herrera won a 2.6-mile race in 19:12.8 to lead the Patriots to victory over Del Sol, which had only four runners finish the race.
Del Sol’s Terri Marcos was second in 19:47.7, and Liberty’s Brianna Padilla took third in 20:58.8.
Badger leads Bulldogs to win
At Centennial, Sydney Badger won a 3.1-mile race in 19:24 to lead the Bulldogs past Legacy, which had only two runners finish the race.
Centennial’s Katie Gorczyca was second in 19:54, followed by teammate Shelby Gibbons in 22:22.
Las Vegas edges Valley
At Valley, Sharon Ortega won a 3-mile race in 20:16 to help Las Vegas to a 27-30 victory over the Vikings.
Valley’s Jerry Betemariam took second in 22:08, and teammate Kerri Paasche was third in 22:57.
Roadrunners pull out win
At Tech, Chaparral used one top-five finisher to nip Desert Pines, 41-43.
Tech’s Taylor Coss won the 3.1-mile race in 24:18.
Kenia Lopez led Desert Pines, placing second in 24:30.
Pavlov, Crusaders stop Mustangs
At Faith Lutheran, Hannah Pavlov won a 3.1-mile race in 20:42 as the Crusaders topped The Meadows, 24-31.
The Mustangs’ Jeneke Heerema was second in 21:16, followed by Faith Lutheran’s Leah Holleran in 22:24.
Clark runs past Cheyenne
At Clark, the Chargers had the top two finishers on their way to a 21-34 victory over Cheyenne.
Clark’s Carrie Rastello won in 21:40, followed by teammate Chelsey Noorda in 22:10.
Jackson, Mustangs roll
At Shadow Ridge, Ciara Jackson won a 3.1-mile race in 23:46 to lead the Mustangs to a 15-50 win over Sierra Vista.
Shadow Ridge took the top 18 spots.
Cara Waite was second in 24:06, and Jessica Graf took third in 24:23.
