ROUNDUP: Gonzales lifts Eldorado to win, No. 3 playoff seed

Sammy Gonzales was 4-for-5 with a double, two runs and three RBIs Wednesday as Eldorado’s baseball team secured the Northeast League’s No. 3 seed for the Sunrise Region playoffs with a 9-4 win at Sunrise Mountain.
Justin Brown went 3-for-4 with a triple and two runs, and Lucio Arreola went 3-for-5 with two runs for the Sundevils. Jacob Torres was 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs for the Sundevils, who erased an early 3-0 deficit.
Nick Snyder was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Ernie Senda was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Miners, who won a tiebreaker for the No. 4 seed in making their first playoff appearance.
Legacy 9, Palo Verde 8 — At Legacy, the Longhorns scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past the Panthers.
Josh Torres was 2-for-4 with two runs, and Alex Wenzel went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Legacy.
Andrew Dalaimo was 3-for-5 with a triple and a double for Palo Verde, which got home runs from Chris Hopballe, Kevin DeSoto and Lukas Rodriguez.
Liberty 9, Foothill 5 — At Liberty, Giovanni Battistoni supplied two hits and two RBIs to help power the Patriots past the Falcons.
Niko Blindeagle earned the win with six strikeouts for Liberty, which got an RBI double from Chris Bradford.
Kevin Becker smacked a three-run homer to key a four-run first inning for Foothill, which got three hits from Bligh Madris.
Las Vegas 3, Desert Pines 2 — At Desert Pines, Daniel Ouzts threw a four-hitter to earn the win as the Wildcats edged the Jaguars.
Damiko Mack and Ouzts each provided an RBI during a two-run fifth for Las Vegas, which scored its first run on a third-strike passed ball with two outs and the bases loaded in the top of the first inning.
Saul Navarrete had an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning for Desert Pines.
Basic 8, Del Sol 5 — At Del Sol, Kyle Silva went 2-for-4 with two doubles to lead the Wolves past the Dragons.
Josh Gray was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs for Basic, and teammate Ryan Blatnik also went 2-for-4.
Danny Ortega went 2-for-3 to lead Del Sol.
Arbor View 13, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Zach Quintana pitched a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs to help the Aggies roll the Crusaders.
Quintana carried a no-hitter into the bottom of the seventh, when David Edson led off with a bloop single to right field.
Arbor View’s Jordan Godman went 4-for-5 with two runs, hitting safely in his 30th straight game.
Evan McMahan was 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs and three RBIs for Arbor View, and Brandon LaPointe went 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, a double and two RBIs.
Valley 14, Canyon Springs 12 — At Canyon Springs, Randall Minyard went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs to help the visiting Vikings overcome a 10-0 deficit and storm back to shock the Pioneers in eight innings.
Juan Deolarte supplied a double for Valley, which scored seven runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 12.
Hector Burgara was 2-for-3 with a triple, four RBIs and three runs, and Carlos Dozal went 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI for Canyon Springs, which hurt itself with six errors.
Shadow Ridge 16, Mojave 6 — At Shadow Ridge, Logan Hold homered, doubled, drove in four runs and scored twice, and Josh Roelofs homered and doubled as the Mustangs slugged the Rattlers in six innings.
Michael Wager was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs for Shadow Ridge.
Carlos Ramos went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored for Mojave.
Bishop Gorman 16, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Jerrel Latham was 3-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs as the Gaels routed the Grizzlies in five innings.
Mike Blasko went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Justin Jones was 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs for Gorman, which also got two hits from Kenny Meimerstorf.
Green Valley 12, Tech 2 — At Green Valley, Guy Visconti went 3-for-4 with a triple, a homer, three runs and two RBIs to lead the Gators to a rout of the Roadrunners in five innings.
Royal Bradley spun a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and one walk to earn the win for Green Valley, which hot two hits and two runs apiece from Phillip McGovern and Cody Milner.
Karl Myrvold supplied an RBI single for Tech, which got a double from Josh West.
Rancho 17, Chaparral 5 — At Rancho, winning pitcher Jose Verdugo went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs as the Rams cruised past the Cowboys in five innings.
David Modler was 3-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs for Rancho, which got a double each from Nick Chavez and Alex Jordan.
Koby Okuda finished 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs, and Zach Harmon supplied two hits and two runs to lead Chaparral.
Centennial 13, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Michael Rosenkrantz spun a five-inning two-hitter with nine strikeouts and no walks to lead the Bulldogs to a win over the Desert Shields.
Bryan Bonnell doubled twice and drove in three runs for Centennial, which got two hits and two RBIs apiece from Casey Moses and Jonas Wellan.
Lamon Harvey provided a triple and a run scored for Cheyenne.
