ROUNDUP: Grizzlies score six in 10th inning to rally past Durango

Ellie Endsley’s fielder’s choice grounder to shortstop with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday plated Georgi DeLio with the winning run as Spring Valley’s softball team scored six times in the 10th to pull out a 12-11 win over visiting Durango.

Endsley’s grounder was bobbled, allowing every runner to advance and DeLio to score to end the game.

The Grizzlies trailed 11-6 entering the bottom of the 10th, but got an RBI double from Endsley and a two-run double from Jessica Reed to make it 11-9. Kira Moorehead’s groundout plated a run, and DeLio singled home Reed to tie the game.

Spring Valley got an RBI single from Moorehead in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings and RBI doubles from Katie Campo and Endsley in the eighth to extend the game.

DeLio was 5-for-5 with a double, and winning pitcher Ashley Coate went 3-for-6 with two RBIs for Spring Valley. Jessica Reed was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Endsley finished 2-for-7 with two doubles and three RBIs for the Grizzlies.

Katie Moore went 3-for-6 with a home run, a double and two RBIs for Durango. Mindy Larson was 3-for-7 with a triple and three runs, and Blanca Espinoza was 3-for-4 for the Trailblazers.

Centennial 10, Cimarron-Memorial 9 — At Cimarron, Taylor Huntly induced consecutive ground balls Friday to escape a bases-loaded, one-out jam in the bottom of the seventh inning and preserve the Bulldogs’ win over the Spartans.

The Bulldogs led 10-4 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, but Cimarron scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth.

The Spartans then loaded the bases on three consecutive one-out singles in the seventh before Huntly got a fielder’s choice grounder to second that resulted in a force out at the plate for the second out. A grounder back to Huntly ended the game.

Alyssa Finger was 4-for-4 with a home run, a double and six RBIs to pace the Bulldogs. Ashley Ross went 2-for-3 with a double, and Huntly was 2-for-3 for Centennial.

Sarina Creswell was 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs for Cimarron. Sarah Murphy went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Carmen Hasbrouk was 3-for-4 for the Spartans.

Palo Verde 7, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Breanna Beatty homered, tripled and drove in three runs as the Panthers used a four-run seventh inning to pull away from the Mustangs.

Rachael Turner and Lauren Oxford each tripled for Palo Verde.

Justin Garganese went 2-for-2 with a walk, and Krislyn Campos had a triple to lead Shadow Ridge.

Bishop Gorman 9, Western 5 — At Gorman, Carrie Keller went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs to help the Gaels beat the Warriors.

Morgan Picoy went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Gorman, which led 5-0 after two innings.

Amber Cosgrove went 2-for-3 with a double to lead Western, which rallied with five runs in the fifth inning.

Pahrump Valley 9, Sierra Vista 3 — At Pahrump, Whitney Roderick fired a five-hitter and struck out 12 to lead the Trojans past the Mountain Lions.

Mallory Busby went 2-for-3 for Pahrump, which took control with five runs in the third inning.

Faith Lutheran 15, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Rachel Kerr spun a five-inning two-hitter to lead the Crusaders by the Rattlers.

Courtney Quam was 3-for-3 with four RBIs, and Lili Bonora went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI for Faith Lutheran, which used an 11-run fourth inning to put the game out of reach.

Arbor View 19, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Chelsa Baca tossed a five-inning two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and had a home run to help the Aggies top the Desert Shields.

Dacia Sykes was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and an RBI, and Ashlyn Ames went 3-for-4 with a grand slam for Arbor View.

Bonanza 11, Virgin Valley 7 — At Bonanza, Megan Rabe went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs to lead the Bengals past the Bulldogs.

Cora Borgman was 3-for-5 with two runs and one RBI for Bonanza, which led 6-0 after the first inning.

Veronica Martinez was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Bonanza, and Madison Means went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Accassia Berg was 2-for-4 with a triple and one RBI for Virgin Valley, and Cassidy Crandall added two hits.

Pahranagat Valley 14, Sunrise Mountain 10 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Panthers benefited from 12 walks in a victory over the Miners.

Taryn Sharp went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs to lead Sunrise Mountain, which outhit Pahranagat, 14-3.

Boulder City 19-18, Moapa Valley 1-1 — At Boulder City, Karlee Koopman tossed a three-hitter in the opener as the Eagles swept a pair of five-inning games from the Pirates.

Ali Rants was 4-for-5 with three RBIs, and Jessie Holling was 3-for-5 for Boulder City in the first game.

In the nightcap, Koopman went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, and Shayla Bennett was 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs.

The Eagles’ Taylor McKeever finished 7-for-8 with two doubles in the doubleheader.

Needles 22-14, Laughlin 0-1 — At Needles, Calif., Abby Chandler tossed a one-hitter in the nightcap and combined with Melody Merchain on a two-hitter in the opener as the Mustangs swept a pair of five-inning games from the Cougars.

Chandler tripled and doubled, and Holly Laswell collected a pair of doubles for Needles in the opener.

Megan Mann and Andrea Merchain each had two doubles, and Chandler tripled for the Mustangs in the finale.

Mountain View 22, The Meadows 9 — At Mountain View, Elle Germany had two hits and three RBIs to help the Saints roll to a five-inning victory over the Mustangs.

Robyn Monkarsh had a double for The Meadows.
