ROUNDUP: Rudd’s distance sweep lifts Bonanza boys to win

Robert Rudd swept the three distance events Monday to lead host Bonanza’s boys track team to victory in a four-team meet.
Rudd won the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 24.1 seconds, the 1600 in 5:05.7 and the 3200 in 11:05.7.
Bonanza had a team score of 173. Western was second with 48 points, followed by Pahranagat Valley with 23 and Indian Springs with 6.
The Bengals’ Jayveon Taylor won the 100 in 10.9 seconds and the 200 in 21.1, and teammate Brandon Knox took the 100 hurdles in 16.3 and the 300 hurdles in 42.3.
Vikings use depth to win three-team meet
At Eldorado, Valley won seven events on its way to 115 points and a victory over Eldorado (53) and Agassi Prep (12).
Eldorado’s Eddie Esquivel won the 1,600 in 4:29.3 and the 3,200 in 10:30.2.
Agassi Prep’s Taaje Halgas took the 200 in 23.8 and the 400 in 52.0.
Wisner, Coronado top Liberty
At Coronado, Blake Wisner won the 110 hurdles in 16.4 seconds and 300 hurdles in 42.4 to lead the Cougars to an 86-60 victory over Liberty.
Liberty’s Jordan Kapeli won the shot put with a throw of 51 feet, 4¾ inches, and took the discus at 137-10.
Teerlink helps Bulldogs to victory
At Legacy, Tyson Teerlink won the pole vault at 13-0 and the shot put at 42-1 to help Virgin Valley score 68 points and beat Mojave (55) and Legacy (52).
Mojave’s Jalon Dean took the 110 hurdles (15.6), 300 hurdles (41.9) and high jump (6-0), and teammate Bryant Lewis won the long jump (19-6½) and triple jump (39-9).
GIRLS
Bonanza wins four-team meet
At Bonanza, Emily Adams took the 1,600 in 6:03.5 and the 3,200 in 12:32.6 to lead the Bengals to victory in a four-team meet.
Bonanza had 127 points. Western took second with 67, followed by Indian Springs with 47 and Pahranagat Valley with 2.
Western’s Diamond Thompson won the 100 in 12.8 and the 200 in 27.0, and teammate Jocelyn Jordan claimed the 400 in 1:04.2 and the triple jump with a mark of 33-9.
Barton lifts Vikings to win
At Eldorado, Brandie Barton won the 100 hurdles in 17.0 and the 300 hurdles in 49.0 to lead Valley to a win in a three-team meet.
The Vikings had 87 points. Eldorado was second with 78, followed by Agassi Prep with 19.
Mavroudis, Arriola lead Cougars past Patriots
At Coronado, Morgan Mavroudis and Olivia Arriola each won two events as Coronado rolled Liberty, 104-37.
Mavroudis won the 100 hurdles (16.6) and high jump (4-8), and Arriola was first in the long jump (16-0½) and triple jump (32-4½).
Liberty’s Ashlie Blake won the shot put (46-10½) and discus (139-5).
Cummings leads Longhorns to victory
At Legacy, Sarah Cummings won the 400 in 1:04.1 and the 800 in 2:49.9 to lead Legacy (63 points) past Virgin Valley (58) and Mojave (46).
Virgin Valley’s McCall Grajek took the 100 hurdles in 17.11 and the triple jump at 31-3.
