Silverado’s Fisher rebounds with 68 to claim Pahrump Valley Invite title

Silverado boys golfer Josh Fisher entered his round Tuesday five strokes off the lead in the Pahrump Valley Invitational.

He left Mountain Falls Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon as the individual champion.

Fisher rebounded from an 83 on Monday to shoot a 4-under-par 68 and finish with a 36-hole total of 151 and a one-stroke victory over Desert Oasis’ Soungjae Baek and Hayes Dupree of River Valley (Ariz.).

Virgin Valley’s Ryan Baeza was fourth at 155, one stroke better than Green Valley’s Jordan Green.

Desert Oasis won the team title with a score of 642. Foothill was second at 662, followed by Green Valley at 675.

Jay Singharath and Niko Gonnella each added a 161 for the Diamondbacks.

Pahrump Valley’s Dorian Patel, who struggled with an 89 on Monday, bounced back to shoot Tuesday’s second-best round of 69 and finished sixth at 158.

Pahrump’s Maroon squad won the Silver Flight of the event with a team score of 741. Arbor View’s Nick Bible, who carded a 167, was the Silver Flight medalist.

Boulder City shot 793 to win the Maroon Flight team title. David Lugviel of Red Rock (Ariz.) was the Maroon medalist with a 199.
