ROUNDUP: Welch, Cougars roll to Southeast win at Wildhorse

Matt Welch carded a 1-under-par 69, and A.J. McInerney added a 70 at Wildhorse on Thursday to lead Coronado’s boys golf team to a win in a Southeast League match.

The Cougars, who also got a 72 from Kenden Slattery, posted a team score of 360. Green Valley was second at 392, followed by Foothill at 398.

Silverado’s Josh Fisher was the medalist with a 68.

Green Valley’s Hayden Cottle and Foothill’s Robert Zoucha each shot 73.

Eagles capture 3A Southern meet
At Falcon Ridge, Tyler Barton carded an 11-over 82 to help Boulder City win a Class 3A Southern League meet.

The Eagles had a team score of 449. Virgin Valley was second with 460, followed by Moapa Valley at 495.

Virgin Valley’s Ryan Baeza was the medalist with an 81, and teammate Mitch Jones added an 82.
Marcus Delgadillo led Moapa Valley with an 84.
