ROUNDUP: Rockey paces Viking boys by Pirates

Mitchell Rockey won the 100-yard freestyle and 100 buttefly Tuesday to lead Valley’s boys swim team to a 91-67 victory over Moapa Valley at Multi-Generational.

Rockey won the 100 butterfly in 1 minute, 5.91 seconds, and took the 100 freestyle in 1:00.13.

Moapa Valley’s Daniele Patruno won the 200 individual medley (2:24.31) and 100 backstroke (1:11.03).

Boulder City 221, Liberty 54 — At Multi-Generational, the Eagles won every event en route to the easy victory over the Patriots.

Eldorado 136, Canyon Springs 126 — At Multi-Generational, Eldorado won only five events, but still held off the Pioneers.

Canyon Springs’ Isiah Magsino was first in the 50 freestyle (23.17) and 500 freestyle (5:02.69).

Sunrise Mountain 140, Virgin Valley 95 — At Multi-Generational, Zachary Casutt won the 200 freestyle (2:47.71) and 100 freestyle (1:09.03) to help the Miners top the Bulldogs.

Virgin Valley’s Nick White won the 50 freestyle (25.3) and 500 freestyle (6:26.84).

Clark 161, Sierra Vista 69 — At Pavilion, Brandon Hughes won the 100 freestyle in 57.28 and the 100 backstroke in 1:13.66 to help the Chargers down the Mountain Lions.

Sierra Vista’s Paris Goodwin took the 100 butterfly in 1:07.88 and the 200 freestyle in 2:06.9

Cimarron-Memorial 209, Adelson School 46 — At Pavilion, Caesar Stewart and Doug Vanderhyde each took two individual events to lead the Spartans by the Lions.

Stewart won the 100 butterfly in 1:05.98 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.37, and Vanderhyde claimed the 100 (55.68) and 200 freestyles (2:10.63).

Faith Lutheran 208, The Meadows 0 — At Pavilion, Bowen Becker and Ryan Delaney each won twice as the Crusaders swam to a shutout victory.

Becker won the 100 butterfly in 1:03.41 and the 200 individual medley in 2:15.75, and Delaney won the 200 (2:25.62) and 500 freestyles (6:54.53).

Spring Valley earns win — At Pavilion, Brett Beck won the 200 individual medley in 2:02.27 and the 100 backstroke in 56.74 to lead Spring Valley to a 138-132 win over Bishop Gorman. Gorman was a 145-111 winner over Desert Oasis.
