ROUNDUP: Desert Shield girls sweep relays, down Mustangs

Cheyenne’s girls swim team swept the two contested relay events Thursday on its way to a 74-24 win over The Meadows at Adelson School.

The Mustangs’ Jessie Barra won the 100-meter butterfly in 1 minute, 6.47 seconds and the 200 freestyle in 2:13.15, and teammate Natalie Kim won the 50 (32.48) and 100 freestyles (1:15.92).

BOYS

Cheyenne 101, The Meadows 0 — At Adelson School, Morgan Thompson and Dylan Thompson each won twice as the Desert Shields posted a shutout against the Mustangs.

Morgan Thompson took the 100 butterfly in 1:14.13 and the 200 freestyle in 2:20.67, and Dylan Thompson captured the 100 freestyle in 1:01.37 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:23.83.
