ROUNDUP: Thomas, Durango girls overcome Grizzlies

Jasmine Thomas scored 14 points Wednesday as Durango’s girls basketball team solidified its hold on fourth place in the Southwest League with a 51-47 win at Spring Valley.
Nakyia Mandy had 12 points for Durango (8-6, 7-5 Southwest), which leads fifth-place Sierra Vista (8-15, 6-7) by 1½ games and trails third-place Western (8-16, 8-5) by one-half game.
Shauna Patterson had 17 points and 14 rebounds, and DeTiese Moore added nine points and 15 rebounds to pace Spring Valley.
Legacy 46, Arbor View 45 — At Arbor View, Mayisha Marlowe tallied 12 points to help the Longhorns rally past the Aggies.
Legacy trailed 36-32 after three quarters but bounced back to take a 46-43 lead with eight seconds left.
Needing a 3-pointer to tie the game, the Aggies could only get a 2-point shot off just before the buzzer.
Jena Valenzuela led Arbor View with 16 points, and teammate Dana Lewis scored 15.
Palo Verde 47, Cimarron-Memorial 26 — At Palo Verde, Mikayla Diers notched 10 points and eight rebounds to lead the Panthers past the Spartans.
Meiko Taylor scored 10 points, and Jasmin Kiley added nine points and nine assists for Palo Verde, which led 13-0 after one quarter.
Traci Parks led Cimarron with eight points.
Valley 56, Desert Pines 23 — At Desert Pines, Kennedy Wharton collected 13 points and 16 rebounds as the Vikings pulled away from the Jaguars.
Tyricia Payne poured in 24 points, and Gabby Cabanero tallied 11 points for Valley, which got 11 rebounds from NayNay Thomas.
Jazzmin Avalos led Desert Pines with eight points.
Canyon Springs 74, Eldorado 35 — At Eldorado, Cherise Beynon led four double-figure scorers with 15 points as the Pioneers rolled the Sundevils.
Shamiyah McNeal added 14 points, Pearl Paulo scored 11, and Kiara Washington tallied 10 points for Canyon Springs.
Deniseun Jackson scored 17 to lead Eldorado.
Las Vegas 55, Chaparral 36 — At Las Vegas High, Shomari Harris tallied 19 points, and the Wildcats never looked back after taking a 19-7 first-quarter lead en route to a win over the Cowboys.
Matti Ventling added 15 points for Las Vegas.
Tichina Savoy paced Chaparral with 10 points.
Rancho 49, Sunrise Mountain 33 — At Rancho, LaKissa Martin scored 16 points as the Rams defeated the Miners.
Kanosha Grey added 11 points for Rancho.
Da’Nisha Wedlow led Sunrise Mountain with 11 points, and Tiara Veal scored 10.
Centennial 64, Shadow Ridge 16 — At Centennial, Tamera Williams led four double-figure scorers with 19 points as the Bulldogs routed the Mustangs.
Jada Brown had 11 points, and Paige Barber and Teirra Hicks supplied 10 points each for Centennial, which held Shadow Ridge to two points in the second quarter and only one in the third.
Ciera DaPra had six points for Shadow Ridge.
Desert Oasis 57, Clark 15 — At Desert Oasis, Isis Haywood tallied 10 points, and 13 different players scored for the Diamondbacks in their rout of the Chargers.
Jerimika Adams scored six points for Clark.
Bishop Gorman 61, Western 15 — At Gorman, Zhane Dikes had 14 points to help the Gaels rout the Warriors.
Meghan Carter added 11 points, and Tonisha Childress scored 10 for Gorman, which led 41-8 at the half.
Jocelyn Jordan led Western with eight points.
Sierra Vista 48, Pahrump Valley 34 — At Pahrump, Jasmine Suarez had 16 points, and Melia Tadytin scored 12 to lead the Mountain Lions by the Trojans.
Elaishah Ramirez scored nine points for Pahrump.
Boulder City 61, Mojave 20 — At Boulder City, Mallory Bird tallied 14 points to lead the Eagles to an easy win over the Rattlers.
Karlee Koopman supplied 10 points, and Whitney Barlow compiled nine points and six rebounds for Boulder City.
Teaira Shorter paced Mojave with 14 points.
Virgin Valley 51, Bonanza 38 — At Mesquite, Abbie Barnard scored 23 points, and Kourtney Metzger tallied 14 points for the Bulldogs in a win over the Bengals.
Alyssa Powers led Bonanza with nine points.
