ROUNDUP: Ringer, Teshima lead Spring Valley to sweep of Clark

Blake Ringer racked up 15 kills and three aces, and Dallas Teshima had 21 assists Wednesday as Spring Valley’s boys volleyball team secured second place in the Southwest League with a 25-20, 25-17, 25-22 sweep at Clark.

Arthur Marutyan added eight digs, and Donald Keith supplied five blocks for the Grizzlies, who finished 9-5 in league play.

George Huang paced Clark with 14 kills, 10 digs and three blocks. David Samson added 26 assists and six digs, and Johnny Phane contributed eight digs and five kills for the Chargers.

Bishop Gorman 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Gorman, Bobby Houser had 11 kills to lead the Gaels to a 25-21, 25-21, 25-23 sweep of the Mountain Lions.

Matt Lychock added five kills and four aces for Gorman, and Cameron Tom provided 21 assists.

Khrumm Fahim tallied 10 kills and three digs for Sierra Vista, and Garrett Clifton had five kills and three blocks. Preston Miranda supplied 21 assists and three digs for the Mountain Lions.

Bonanza 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Mitchell Barnes distributed 19 assists to help the Bengals sweep Durango, 25-15, 25-16, 25-13 and complete a perfect Southwest League season.

Parker Evans had 13 kills, and Craig Whiting added 13 assists for Bonanza.

Josh Maury had 13 kills, five digs and three blocks for the Trailblazers. Sam Ditterline added three kills and five digs, and Caleb Snook provided 13 assists for Durango.

Desert Oasis 3, Western 0 — At Desert Oasis, Zach Bobenhausen had 11 kills and 17 digs, and Trevor Zarvian dished out 23 assists as the Diamondbacks swept the Warriors, 25-17, 25-21, 25-21.

Cameron Mich’l had 14 kills, and Adam Eslinger supplied six kills and five digs for Desert Oasis.

Western’s Nash McIntosh tallied 23 assists, and teammate Matthew Lewis totaled nine kills and five blocks.

Las Vegas 3, Rancho 1 — At Rancho, Luke Hansen had 38 assists, four kills, four blocks and two aces to help the Wildcats pull away from the Rams for a 25-16, 25-11, 22-25, 25-18 win to complete an undefeated trip through the Northeast League.

Ronnie Adams added 10 kills and nine digs, and Tyler Crawford supplied nine kills for Las Vegas.

Kyle Stankosky paced Rancho with 12 kills and seven digs, and Nathan Campo had 15 assists for Rancho. R’Mond Hill posted five kills and four blocks, and Guillermo Silva helped the Rams with nine kills and two blocks off the bench.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, Ricco Lucas had 22 assists, and Alex Bravo added eight kills as the Miners downed the Jaguars, 25-17, 25-22, 25-14.

Alex Benitez had six kills and three aces, and Cody Trapp supplied six kills and four blocks for Sunrise Mountain.

Tui Poutasi led Desert Pines with 15 digs and four blocks. Tony Savea added 21 assists, and Mike Gipson had nine kills for the Jaguars.

Canyon Springs 3, Chaparral 0 — At Canyon Springs, Jon Duhaylungsod had 24 assists as the Bulldogs defeated Chaparral, 25-16, 25-18, 25-13.

Eivan Nafarrete had 11 digs, and Adam Tuala produced six aces and six kills for Canyon Springs.

Valley 3, Eldorado 0 — At Valley, Peter Nunes had 30 assists, four digs and three aces to help the Vikings sweep Eldorado, 25-18, 25-15, 25-13.

Matthew Ballaro supplied 10 kills, two aces and two digs, and Lawrence Palma added 11 kills and two aces for Valley.
