ROUNDUP: Murphy, Wilson help Mountain Lion boys sprint past Chargers

Matt Murphy and R.B. Wilson each won two events Tuesday to lead Sierra Vista’s boys track team to an 85-51 road win over Clark.

Murphy was first in the 300-meter hurdles in 47.5 seconds and high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 10 inches, and Wilson won the 100 (11.4) and 200 (23.2).

Clark’s Basabose Bahati finished first in the 800 (2:16.0), 1,600 (5:00.0) and 3,200 (11:15.4).

Woodbury leads Eagles to win in tri-meet
At Del Sol, Joseph Woodbury won three events as Boulder City won a tri-meet with Rancho and Del Sol.

Woodbury won the 100 (11.77), 200 (23.39) and 110 hurdles (17.3) for the Eagles, who finished with 76 points.

Rancho (55) was second and Del Sol (52) third.

Boulder City’s James Morgan won the shot put (51-0) and discus (124-9).

Del Sol’s Chris Marshall finished first in the long jump (21-0) and triple jump (40-7).

Quintet leads Skyhawks past Gators
At Green Valley, Ladale Jackson, Dante Carter, Basel Affi and Dion Goodman each won two events to lift Silverado to an 85-61 win over the Gators.

Jackson won the 200 in 22.1 seconds and the 400 in 52.3. Carter took the 800 in 2:04.3 and the 3,200 in 10:33.6. Affi swept the hurdles, winning the 110 in 16.5 and the 300 in 42.9.

Goodman captured the triple jump at 43-1 and the long jump at 19-9¼.

Miners nip Sundevils
At Sunrise Mountain, Tavish Fitzgerald won the 100 in 11.4 and the 200 in 22.8 to help the Miners to a 73-69 win over Eldorado.
 
The Sundevils' Eddie Esquirel took the 1,600 in 5:08.1 and the 3,200 in 11:25.6, and teammate Curtis Stewart captured the long jump with an effort of 20-1 and the high jump by clearing 6-0.
