ROUNDUP: King reigns as Panthers top Aggies
Brandon King had 34 kills, 11 digs and four blocks Friday to help Palo Verde’s boys volleyball team to a 25-22, 25-15, 27-29, 25-23 win at Arbor View.
Sean Wilson dished out 48 assists for the Panthers.
Genaddy Shataev paced Arbor View with 21 kills and 17 digs. Kealyn Butler added 15 kills and 13 digs, and Richie Garness supplied 46 assists for the Aggies.
Centennial 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Centennial, Leo Dirkin had 26 assists and nine kills to help the Bulldogs to a 25-12, 25-21, 25-21 sweep of the Mustangs.
Mike Robinson added 20 assists and six kills, and Tanner Bond had seven kills and four blocks for Centennial, which got seven kills and three aces from Dustin Buell.
Legacy 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Erik Valerio had 27 assists and two aces to help the Longhorns defeat the Rattlers, 25-18, 25-17, 25-12.
Jordan Pinkney added 11 kills for Legacy, and teammate Jeremiah Hall had nine kills and three aces.
Christian Limpiaco had seven assists and four digs for Mojave, and teammate Billy Murphy added 13 kills.
Green Valley 3, Basic 0 — At Basic, Nick Hevrin dished out 28 assists to help the Gators to a 25-21, 25-16, 25-17 win over the Wolves.
James Byrne added nine kills and three aces, and Wesley Reed supplied seven kills and four blocks for Green Valley.
John Fitzgerald distributed 25 assists for Basic. Tanner Humphreys added 12 digs and 12 kills for the Wolves, and Weston Crum had seven digs and four kills.
Coronado 3, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Raymond Chan had 20 assists and three aces to help the Cougars to a 25-13, 25-18, 25-21 win over the Falcons.
Chris Andrulis added 11 kills, and Kekoa Giron supplied seven kills for Coronado, which got seven digs from Justin Hyer.
Corey Philpot dished out 11 assists for Foothill. LeDarius Gates added nine digs, and Kendall Andrews supplied five kills for the Falcons.
Silverado 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Dakota Reloe notched 37 assists, and Kyle Devicino had 12 kills and four aces to help the Skyhawks to a 25-18, 25-18, 25-15 sweep of the Roadrunners.
Ruben Jackson added seven kills and four blocks for Silverado.
Hector Galvin had 11 assists, and Jaime Torres added five kills for Tech.
Del Sol 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Eric Beil had 12 kills to lead the Dragons to a 25-16, 25-17, 25-18 victory over the Patriots.
Nick Maglaras added 24 assists and three aces for Del Sol, and Cameron Ely had eight kills and six digs.
Gil Lim had five kills, and Kyle Kaleb notched four kills for Liberty.
