ROUNDUP: Sheehan sparks Cimarron to pair of wins at March Warm-Up

Carrie Sheehan belted a two-run home run in the top of the first inning and tossed a five-hitter with six strikeouts Friday to lead Cimarron-Memorial’s softball team to a 4-1 win over Box Elder (Utah) in the March Warm-Up Tournament in St. George, Utah.
Hannah Williams was 2-for-4 with a two-run single in the seventh inning for Cimarron, which also got two hits apiece from Kayla Johnson and Reanna Bass.
Cimarron-Memorial 3, Liberty 1 — At St. George, Utah, Carli Stafford and Alexa Snyder each smacked an RBI single in a three-run fourth inning that lifted the Spartans past the Patriots.
Five different players had one hit apiece for Cimarron.
Sheehan tossed a four-inning two-hitter for the Spartans.
West Jordan (Utah) 9, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At St. George, the Jaguars scored eight runs over the first two innings on their way to a four-inning victory over the Spartans.
Arbor View 11, Page (Ariz.) 8 — At St. George, Utah, Ashlyn Ames was 3-for-4 and Karli Lehr went 3-for-5 as the Aggies scored eight runs in the top of the seventh inning and held on to beat the Sand Devils.
Amber Raab was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Arbor View, which led 3-1 entering the seventh.
Arbor View 11, Spring Valley 1 — At St. George, Utah, Ashlyn Ames struck out 11 while tossing a five-inning two-hitter to lead the Aggies past the Grizzlies.
Ames also went 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBIs for Arbor View, which jumped ahead with three runs in the first inning. Teammate Nichole Diaz went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Giorgi DeLio had a double for Spring Valley, which scored its only run in the fourth inning.
Springville (Utah) 3, Coronado 0 — At St. George, Utah, Miranda Follette threw a no-hitter as the Red Devils edged the Cougars.
Alexis Ashman went 1-for-3 with a two-run single in the second, and Kaitelin Erickson also went 1-for-3 with an RBI single in the fifth inning for Springville.
Lee Harrison tossed a three-hitter for Coronado.
Coronado 5, Elko 0 — At St. George, Utah, Danielle Amato pitched a five-hit shutout with six strikeouts and hit a solo home run to help the Cougars to an easy victory over the Indians.
Kim Dawson went 2-for-3 with a run for Coronado.
Coronado 4, Bingham (Utah) 1 — At St. George, Utah, Lee Harrison sparked a four-run third inning with a three-run home run and led the Cougars past Bingham.
Amanda Garrison went 1-for-3 with a triple for Coronado.
Basic 8, Clark 7 — At St. George, Utah, Adrian Brown’s two-run single capped a four-run fifth inning as the Wolves rallied to nip the Chargers in five innings.
Clark took a 7-4 lead with four runs in the top of the fifth.
Jasmine Fukuda and Anna Jaehn each went 2-for-3 for the Chargers.
Snow Canyon (Calif.) 6, Clark 0 — At St. George, Utah, the Warriors used a four-run second inning to down the Chargers, who were limited to four hits.
Foothill 10, Durango 7 — At St. George, Utah, Aricia Dami was 3-for-3 with two home runs and four RBIs to lead the Falcons past the Trailblazers.
Chelsi Stewart was 2-for-3 for Foothill, which led 5-1 after one inning.
Nicole Schultz, Samantha Juarez and Mindy Larson each homered for Durango.
Schultz and Larson both went 2-for-3.
Cedar (Utah) 11, Foothill 10 — At St. George, Utah, the Redmen rallied for two runs in the top of the fifth to edge the Falcons.
Lauren Penksa went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and four RBIs for Foothill.
Cheyenne 6, Enterprise (Utah) 3 — At Mesquite, Rachel Holly went 2-for-2 with a run and two RBIs to help the the Desert Shields hold off the Wolves in the Sherm Bennett Memorial Classic.
Melanie Manley was 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI for Cheyenne.
Cheyenne 5, Valley 3 — At Mesquite, Manley broke a 3-3 tie with a solo home run in the sixth inning to help the Desert Shields rally past the Vikings.
Lindsey Galindo went 2-for-3 with a double to help Cheyenne, and Holly was 2-for-4.
Mickayla Romero finished 2-for-3 with a home run and a double to lead Valley, which jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first inning.
Centennial 14, Desert Oasis 9 — At Bullhead City, Ariz., Heather Bowen went 4-for-4 with a home run, a double and seven RBIs to lead the Bulldogs past the Diamondbacks in the Tournament of Champions.
Shannon Brown was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs for Centennial, which built a 12-2 lead in the fourth inning.
Emily Heinz and C.J. Wilson each had two hits with a home run for Desert Oasis.
Centennial 7, Beckman (Calif.) 2 — At Bullhead City, Alyssa Finger’s grand slam sparked a seven-run third inning as the Bulldogs erased a 2-0 deficit and downed Beckman.
Wilson (Calif.) 2, Centennial 1 — At Bullhead City, Hailey Sarne blasted a two-run home run with two outs in the top of the seventh inning to give the Bruins a win over the Bulldogs.
Katelynn Rauskin recorded five strikeouts for Centennial.
Mingus (Ariz.) 9, Desert Oasis 5 — At Bullhead City, Mingus broke a 4-4 tie with five runs in the top of the seventh inning and held on to top the Diamondbacks.
Heinz and Lenzi Cram each belted a solo home run for Desert Oasis.
Beckman (Calif.) 1, Desert Oasis 0 — At Bullhead City, Beckman scored a first-inning run on a single, two passed balls and a groundout to nip the Diamondbacks.
Desert Oasis was held without a hit.
Tech 4, Faith Lutheran 2 — At Needles, Calif., Sabrina Sawyer went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI to lead the Roadrunners past the Crusaders in the Colorado River Invitational.
Mikaela Tribett went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Tech.
Amanda Roark tossed a three-hitter and struck out eight for the Roadrunners.
Tech 5, Mountain View 1 — At Needles, Kimmie Rodriguez’s grand slam in the fifth lifted the Roadrunners past the Saints.
Tech’s Amanda Roark fired a six-inning two-hitter with 12 strikeouts.
Legacy 7, Coachella Valley (Calif.) 2 — At Needles, Katrina Rand was 1-for-2 with a three-run homer to help the Longhorns down Coachella in five innings.
Sierra Pico tossed a four-hitter with 11 strikeouts.
Legacy 10, Sierra Vista 0 — At Needles, Rand had a three-run triple as the Longhorns routed the Mountain Lions in a three-inning game.
Coachella Valley (Calif.) 5, Faith Lutheran 4 — At Needles, a Faith Lutheran error allowed Coachella Valley to score the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fourth inning of a four-inning game.
Kelly Zufall had an RBI double for Faith Lutheran.
Pahrump Valley 8, Mountain View 1 — At Needles, Whitney Roderick pitched a five-inning one-hitter with eight strikeouts to help the Trojans breeze past the Saints.
