ROUNDUP: Montoya, Tech blank Basic, clinch Southeast’s No. 3 seed

Rachael Montoya scored three goals Thursday to lift Tech’s girls soccer team to a 3-0 road win over Basic and help the Roadrunners capture the Southeast League’s No. 3 seed for next week’s Sunrise Region playoffs.
Vanessa Rojo distributed two assists for the Roadrunners.
Susan Melian was in goal to notch the shutout, and earned an assist on a long punt over the Wolves’ defense.
Tech (8-4-2 Southeast) took the third seed from Liberty (7-3-4) on the season’s final day after the Patriots’ home loss to Southeast champion Green Valley.
Green Valley 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Cassidy McLean scored in the first half to help the Gators blank the Patriots and clinch the Southeast title.
Shannon Casey and Kayla Anderson each added a second-half tally for the Gators, who edged Coronado for the league’s top playoff seed.
Hailey Beekman made four saves to claim the shutout.
Coronado 9, Del Sol 0 — At Coronado, Danielle Schumacher scored three goals, and Gabriella Morris added two goals and an assist as the Cougars routed the Dragons.
Breanna McCallum had two goals for Coronado, which got a goal apiece from Britni Ballweg and Nia Moreno. Kathleen Cuevas supplied three assists for the Cougars, and Joanna Ross dished out two assists.
Cristina Burgess was in goal for the shutout.
Foothill 1, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Dominique Clough scored to help the Falcons earn a draw with the Skyhawks.
Courtney Anderson tallied Silverado’s goal.
Rancho 0, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, the Jaguars and Rams played to a scoreless draw.
Desert Pines goalkeeper Nancy Macias made 10 saves to earn the shutout, and Rancho’s Rachael Wiltshire had three saves.
Eldorado 5, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Alexis Sama tallied three goals and an assist to help the Sundevils build a 3-0 halftime lead and cruise past the Cowboys.
Teresa Barajas and Brandy Sanchez added a goal apiece for Eldorado.
Chynna Hartmann made four saves in notching the shutout.
Las Vegas 2, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Amber Rosenberg scored in the 75th minute to help the Pioneers pick up a tie with the Wildcats.
Mayra Galvez added a goal for Canyon Springs.
Whitney Jauregui tallied both goals for Las Vegas.
Sunrise Mountain 2, Valley 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Sonia Ramirez struck for two goals to lead the Miners to a win over the Vikings.
Aryn Bordman made six saves in the shutout.
