CLASS 3A: Eagles capture eight weight classes, take home title
Boulder City won eight of 14 individual championships Saturday to capture the team title at the Class 3A Southern League wrestling tournament in Overton.
The Eagles finished with 193 points. Moapa Valley (160½) was second and Virgin Valley (102) third.
Clinton Garvin (103 pounds), Brandon Gonzalez (112), James Smith (119), Tyler Washburn (140), Frankie Badgely (171), Brandon Foster (189), Bleu Huxford (215) and Kyle Erickson (285) won titles for Boulder City.
Moapa Valley’s Shae Bryant (135), Trevor Durham (152) and Parker Chappell (160) won titles for the Pirates.
Jimmy Cannon (125), Taylor Fails (130) and McKay Magoon (145) won titles for Virgin Valley.
