ROUNDUP: Judd gives Panthers just enough to edge Aggies

Marcus Judd’s pin at 171 pounds Thursday gave Palo Verde’s wrestling team just enough to hold off host Arbor View for a 28-27 win.
Judd’s victory gave the Panthers a 28-15 lead.
Arbor View’s Stephen Wilbert recorded a pin at 189, and the Aggies added wins by decision at the two heaviest classes, but came up short.
Jordan Hart (112) and Paul Educate (140) also recorded pins for Palo Verde.

Grizzlies finish perfect trip through Southwest
At Spring Valley, the Grizzlies wrapped up their fourth undefeated Southwest League season in the last five years with a 43-25 victory over Bonanza.

Ray Waters (160) and Churchill Rochester (189) each posted first-period pins for the Grizzlies, who went 8-0 in Southwest duals.
Mario Mondragon (112), Curtiss Montenegro (145) and Shaun Kinney (152) each won by fall for Bonanza.

Falcons soar past Skyhawks
At Silverado, Jeremy Reavy’s 3-minute, 14-second pin at 135 pounds helped push Foothill to a 48-30 win over the Skyhawks.

Reavy’s pin came after Silverado’s Andrew Burr put the Skyhawks ahead, 18-6 following the 130-pound match, but the Falcons used three pins and two forfeits to cruise to the win.
Sean Miller (112), Randall Webb (152), Brian Matthews (171) and Scott Stigger (215) each picked up a pin for the Falcons.
Burr and heavyweight Seth Bohman won by pin for Silverado.

Eagles hold off Cougars

At Coronado, Jake Repp posted a pin in 2:39 at 112 pounds to help Moapa Valley take an early lead and hold off the Cougars, 42-39.
Dylan Smith (130), Shae Bryant (135), Jared Repp (140), Ricky Glaubitz (145) and Parker Chappell (160) also won by pin for the Eagles.
Brendan Larson won by pin in 10 seconds at 215 pounds for the Cougars, who took maximum points from the final four matches.
Brandon Brown (119), Matt Aguinaga (152), Preston Thomas (171), Jed Harding (189) and Chandler Nielson (285) also snatched pins for Coronado.

Rancho rides five pins to win over Sunrise Mountain
At Sunrise Mountain, the Rams got pins from Bryson Mitchell (119 pounds), Brandon Flores (152), Aaron Kay (160), Omar Bickel (215) and heavyweight Abel Gomez on their way to a 45-33 victory over the host Miners.

Mitchell, Kay and Bickel won in the first period.
Brian Garcia (112), Ryan Casino (125), Dylan Peterson (140) and Steven Porter (189) each won by fall for Sunrise Mountain.

Shadow Ridge routs Cheyenne
At Cheyenne, Shadow Ridge won all but two matches and cruised to a 67-9 victory over the Desert Shields.

Jonah McKee (103), Austin Rumsey (112), Chet Prince (152), Michael Tootle (171) and Jordan Kurth (215) each won by pin for Shadow Ridge.
Jarrett Collins collected Cheyenne’s lone pin at 119.

Spartans pound Rattlers
At Cimarron-Memorial, the host Spartans rolled to a 73-3 win over Mojave.

Cimarron’s Robert Poole (189), Alex Myers (215) and heavyweight Austin Sinyard each won by pin.

Field leads Gaels past Trojans
At Pahrump, 152-pounder Tommy Field won by pin in 45 seconds to lead Bishop Gorman to a 39-27 victory over Pahrump Valley.

Gorman also got pins from Christian Wilhelm (145), Kevin Martinez (160), Jimmy Clark (189) and Christian Jones (215).
Travis Haines (119) and Elliot Owens (130) each won by fall for Pahrump.
 
Gators top Patriots
At Liberty, Green Valley recorded xx pins and won a match by forfeit on the way to a 34-30 victory over the Patriots.
 
Jared Brathor (103), Corey Brathor (112) and Zach Perry (125) had pins for the Gators.
