ROUNDUP: Allen’s late strike gives Trailblazers first win of season

Bailey Allen scored a goal midway through the second half Wednesday to give Durango’s girls soccer team a 1-0 victory over visiting Bonanza.

Allen’s goal, which was assisted by Nicole Rancata, gave the Trailblazers their first victory of the season.

Goalkeeper Hailey Wilson made three saves to record the shutout.

Clark 2, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Kealani Chaidez scored two second-half goals as the Chargers blanked the Grizzlies.

Azucena Bernal assisted on both goals.

Clark’s Keri Thacker posted a four-save shutout.

Legacy 2, Mojave 0 — At Legacy, Devonna Palmer and Kennya Pimentel scored after halftime to lead the Longhorns past the Rattlers for their first win of the season.

Legacy’s Brandi Ziragoza earned the shutout.

Desert Oasis 2, Western 2 — At Western, Ayana Williams scored twice to help the Warriors earn a tie with the Diamondbacks.

Maria Ramirez assisted on both goals for Western.

Desert Oasis’ Kayla Irmen scored with 15 minutes left to tie the score at two goals apiece. Vanessa Mendez scored in the first half for the Diamondbacks.

Arbor View 5, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Cimarron, Falon Miller had three goals and an assist to lead the Aggies past the Spartans.

Samantha Mendoza and Tara LeBaron also scored for Arbor View, which led 3-0 at halftime. Taylor Bonetti notched two assists for the Aggies.

Hailey Kirkwood scored Cimarron’s goal.

Shadow Ridge 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Taylor Lopez scored twice to lead the Mustangs past the Desert Shields.

Mackensie Espiritu added a goal for Shadow Ridge.

Dallas Gunny and Alexa Murrietta combined on the shutout.

Bishop Gorman 4, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Mia Moore scored two goals to help the Gaels shut out the Mountain Lions.

Haley Wingender and Charlotte Brascia also scored for Gorman, which led 3-0 at halftime. Wingender added two assists.

Gorman’s Kaylee Vitale and Angelica Pawlowski combined on the shutout.
