ROUNDUP: Skrinjaric, Longhorns clinch first Northwest title

Stefan Skrinjaric notched a goal and an assist in the second half Thursday to help Legacy secure it first Northwest League boys soccer title with a 2-0 win over visiting Cheyenne.
Saul Aguirre also scored for the Longhorns (15-1-1, 14-1-1 Northwest), who will open the Sunset Region playoffs Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Spring Valley.
Julio Uribe was in goal for the shutout.
Palo Verde 1, Arbor View 1 — At Arbor View, Matej Kustura’s second-half goal allowed the Panthers to tie the Aggies.
Nico Johnson’s goal gave Arbor View a 1-0 halftime lead.
Cimarron-Memorial 4, Mojave 0 — At Cimarron, Luis Ruiz scored twice and Gerardo Zacarias added a goal and an assist as the Spartans captured a must-win match and qualified for the postseason.
Bernardo Badillo also scored for Cimarron, which secured the Northwest’s No. 3 seed in the playoffs.
Oso Valencia and Jose Ascencio combined on the shutout for Cimarron.
Faith Lutheran 3, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Cameron Stimson notched two goals, and Todd Tomburo added a goal as the Crusaders overcame a 2-1 halftime deficit to nip the Mustangs.
Jacob Ewing had a goal and an assist, and Cody Tesoro supplied a goal for Shadow Ridge.
Western 5, Desert Oasis 2 — At Desert Oasis, Armando Herrera scored three goals, and teammate Joshua Ballard scored twice as the Warriors beat the Diamondbacks.
Jarom Stuart struck twice for Desert Oasis.
Bonanza 5, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Bonanza, Robert Sagel had a goal and an assist to help the Bengals blitz the Trojans.
Carlos Casillas, Adrian Chavez, Sondra Herstad and Zaven Tsaturyan notched a goal apiece for Bonanza.
William Sagel earned the shutout for the Bengals.

Spring Valley 3, Clark 1 —
At Clark, Seth McGinn scored three goals to lead the Grizzlies past the Chargers.
Rey Saavedra scored one goal for Clark. 
Durango 1, Sierra Vista 1 — At Durango, Meseret Tekie scored a goal to help the Trailblazers tie the Mountain Lions.
Stefan Stefanovic scored for Sierra Vista.
Virgin Valley 5, Moapa Valley 1 — At Overton, Danny Medina had a goal and an assist, and William Lara dished out two assists as the Bulldogs topped the Pirates.
Jaime Macias, Kyle Santos, Raul Lopez and Tony Villalobos also scored for Virgin Valley.
David Gomez tallied Moapa Valley’s lone goal.
Boulder City 1, The Meadows 1 — At The Meadows, Alex Karabachev’s second-half goal gave the Mustangs a tie with the Eagles.
Peter Standjordet tallied a first-half goal for Boulder City.
