ROUNDUP: Hundley, Wildcats clinch Northeast’s top seed

Mariel Hundley registered nine digs, nine assists and six aces Wednesday as Las Vegas High’s girls volleyball team clinched at least a share of the Northeast League title and the league’s No. 1 seed for the Sunrise Region tournament with a 25-9, 25-13, 25-11 win over visiting Desert Pines.
Breanna Melton added nine digs, eight kills and five aces for the Wildcats, who improved to 12-0 in league play, good for a two-game lead over Eldorado with two matches remaining.
Nina White had seven kills, and Natresha Bernard added six digs and five kills for Las Vegas.
Michelle Estella paced Desert Pines with 16 digs and two aces.
Centennial 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Centennial, Emma Hilsabeck dished out 27 assists, and Alex Johnson put down 14 kills and nine blocks as the Bulldogs clinched the outright Northwest League crown by sweeping the visiting Desert Shields, 25-5, 25-13, 25-13.
Shannon Brown had six kills, three digs and two blocks, and Kaitlin Kelly added five assists, five digs, four kills and three aces for Centennial, which moved to 15-0 in league play.
Melanie Manley paced the Desert Shields with 15 digs, and Kelsey Thalman added five digs and three aces for Cheyenne.
Coronado 3, Silverado 2 — At Coronado, Kuulei Piena had 21 kills and 12 digs, and Kristen Herlosky had 16 kills, 17 digs and three aces to lead the Cougars to a 17-25, 25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 15-9 victory over the Skyhawks.
The win gave Coronado at least a share of first place in Southeast League, as well as the league’s No. 1 playoff seed.
Katie Gamsky added 39 assists, 11 digs, five blocks and three aces for Coronado.
Kayla Agae led Silverado with 22 kills and 20 digs. Marilyn Agae added 40 assists and three aces for the Skyhawks.
Faith Lutheran 3, Arbor View 2 — At Arbor View, Kelsey McCourt’s 38 assists, 13 digs and three aces helped the Crusaders capture a 25-18, 25-8, 21-25, 22-25, 15-12 win over the Aggies.
Vanessa Sigman added 11 kills and nine digs, and Taylor Richards supplied 12 digs and seven kills for Faith Lutheran. Chelsea Kronschnabel had 20 digs for the Crusaders.
Falon Miller racked up 27 digs and 18 kills for the Aggies, and teammate Erika Kelly registered 21 digs and 15 kills. Deana Jordan added 31 digs for Arbor View.
Eldorado 3, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Eldorado, Chelsea Andersen distributed 11 assists as the Sundevils clinched the Northeast’s No. 2 playoff seed with a 25-20, 19-25, 25-12, 25-20 victory over the Miners.
Chelsea Sallander added six aces and four kills, and Casey Bradshaw had five kills and four digs for Eldorado, which got six kills from Candace Watkins.
Alicia Winchester led the Miners with five kills and four blocks. Elise Marshall contributed five kills and three blocks, and Tania Amaya had seven aces and two kills for Sunrise Mountain.

Chaparral 3, Rancho 2 —
At Chaparral, Carolina Reyes had 21 assists and seven aces to lead the Cowboys to a 25-22, 25-13, 14-25, 21-25, 15-13 victory over the Rams.
Jaeda Allen had three kills, four aces and five digs for Chaparral.
Morgan Johnson had five kills for Rancho, and teammate Tiffany Smith added 20 digs.
Basic 3, Del Sol 2 — At Del Sol, Kamisha Richardson powered Basic with 17 kills, and Jackie Foust supplied 10 kills as the Wolves outlasted the Dragons, 12-25, 25-20, 25-17, 15-25, 15-13.
Wendy Williams dished out 12 assists, and Jordin Mullins added six kills and six blocks for Basic.
 
Natalie Korzenowski tallied 17 kills and 18 digs for Del Sol, which got 47 assists from Desiree Orozco, 20 digs from Kaleileihua Cabanas, and 17 kills from Angela Johnson.
Foothill 3, Liberty 0 — At Foothill, Rhianna Gelhart racked up 15 assists, 13 kills and eight digs as the Falcons took a 25-19, 25-16, 25-22 win from the Patriots.
Courtney Casem added 14 digs for Foothill, which got seven kills and nine digs from Pamela Sakuma.
Amanda Delgado led the Patriots with 11 digs and nine assists. Cherlyn Alejandro had nine blocks, and Jannine Romeo supplied 15 digs for Liberty.
Green Valley 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, the Gators rolled to a 25-11, 25-19, 25-9 win over the Roadrunners.
Maria Carillo had 10 digs for Tech.
Valley 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Valley, Lenore Porter supplied 15 assists, nine kills and eight digs as the Vikings clinched a playoff berth with a 25-22, 25-11, 25-15 sweep of the Pioneers.
Briana Johnson added eight kills for Valley.
Baylee Delgado dished out 19 assists, and Elena Alailima had six blocks for Canyon Springs.
Indian Springs 3, Adelson School 0 — At Indian Springs, Alexxa Reinke served 11 aces, and Heather Thormahlen and Ashley Pierce each added nine aces to lead the Thunderbirds to a 25-13, 25-17, 25-15 sweep of the Lions.
Boulder City 3, Moapa Valley 0 — At Overton, the Eagles were 25-14, 25-19, 25-6 winners over the Pirates.
