ROUNDUP: Manthei powers Gorman past Sierra Vista, into sole possession of first place

Liz Manthei had 11 assists, 10 aces and three kills, and Kylee Chun added 11 assists Monday as Bishop Gorman’s girls volleyball team posted a 25-18, 25-10, 25-11 win at Sierra Vista in a battle of the Southwest League leaders.
Shelby Devlin and Gianna Ruggerola each had seven kills with Devlin adding five blocks for Gorman, which improved to 16-4 overall, 6-0 in the Southwest.
Morgan Malone dished out 16 assists, and Taylor Price put down five kills for the Mountain Lions (12-2, 5-1).
Bonanza 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Bonanza, Bree Hammel racked up 14 kills, 14 digs and seven aces to power the Bengals past the Diamondbacks, 25-12, 27-25, 25-23.
Jessica Wilcox added 11 kills and 12 digs, and Rykki Rudd had eight kills for Bonanza.
Audrey Blockovich supplied six digs, and Kindra Stanfield added seven assists and two digs for Desert Oasis.
Pahrump Valley 3, Western 0 — At Western, Alyson Kunzi dished out nine assists as the Trojans swept the Warriors, 25-13, 25-16, 25-16.
Zoe Bertz had five kills and Taylor McJunkin added four kills for Pahrump, which also got five assists from Sara Wulfenstein.
Durango 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Sarah Tullis’ 20 assists helped the Trailblazers to a 26-24, 25-11, 25-18 win over the Chargers.
Kylie Ferri and Hailee Wilson each added seven kills for Durango.
Jessica Silva supplied five kills for Clark.
Cimarron-Memorial 3, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Toree Manumaleuna dished out 25 assists and served 11 aces to lead the Spartans to a 25-11, 25-21, 19-25, 25-16 win over the Longhorns.
Leilani Blanco added sixteen kills for Cimarron, and teammate Desiree Luca had 14 digs and four aces.
Alexis Fuller had 12 digs and three aces for Legacy. Halle Champion added seven kills and four digs, and Sarah Randolph supplied five blocks for the Longhorns.
Palo Verde 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Palo Verde, Stephanie Herman had 14 assists, four aces and three kills to lead the Panthers to a 25-17, 25-11, 25-12 sweep of the Desert Shields.
Morgan Megown added 13 digs and three aces, and Kady Lay contributed six kills and four digs for Palo Verde.
Mary Moody paced Cheyenne with seven aces. Rebecca Lane added three kills for the Desert Shields.
Shadow Ridge 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Destinee Beavers had eight kills and two aces, and Bailey Bradley added 14 digs and three aces to lead the Mustangs to a 26-24, 25-16, 25-14 sweep of the Aggies.
Amber Graham had eight digs and seven kills for Arbor View, and Brianne Nielson supplied 14 digs and three aces for the Aggies.
Centennial 3, Mojave 0 — At Centennial, Laura Rogenbaum notched seven aces, five kills and two digs as the Bulldogs breezed to a 25-14, 25-9, 25-13 sweep of the Rattlers.
Emma Hilsabeck had 15 assists and three aces, and Kaitlin Kelly added six kills and six assists for Centennial.
Jasmine Pedraza had five kills and three digs for Mojave, and Jasmine Gardner chipped in five assists and two kills for the Rattlers.
Indian Springs 3, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson, the Thunderbirds were 25-16, 25-21, 27-25 winners over the Lions.
Joanna Falk had four kills, and Stephanie Castille added three kills and two aces for Adelson School.
Virgin Valley 3, Spring Valley 1 — At Mesquite, Rachel Morris had 17 kills, and Annie Biasi added 13 kills to help the Bulldogs to a 17-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-19 win over the Grizzlies.
Nikki Hafen had 33 assists and five aces for Virgin Valley.
Peyton LeBlue had eight kills, and Kiley Bortman contributed five kills and three aces for Spring Valley. Teammate Mahala Shumway added eight digs.
