Gorman girls place sixth in Ayala Classic

Nicolette Rivera carded a 6-over-par 80 at Los Serranos Country Club on Monday as Bishop Gorman’s girls golf team placed sixth of 17 teams in the Ayala High School Fall Classic in Chino Hills, Calif.
The Gaels had a team score of 347. Palm Desert (Calif.) won the event with a team score of 302. Arcadia (Calif.) was second at 323.
Kelly Horrell added an 85 for Gorman, which got an 89 from Katie DeJesus and a 93 from Allie Arguello.
Esther Lee of Los Alamos (Calif.) was the medalist with a 70.
