LAKE MEAD CLASSIC: Youthful Lions patiently storm to title

Young and patient don’t often mix.
They worked in perfect harmony Saturday for Calvary Chapel’s girls volleyball team, though.
The youthful Lions didn’t panic when facing two deciding games, then showed poise in a sweep of Pahranagat Valley in the championship match of the Lake Mead Fall Classic.
Calvary Chapel won five matches in the two-day tournament, including three victories on Saturday.
“We have a real young team, but we were just patient as a team,” Calvary Chapel coach Nick Davis said. “We took advantage of the opportunities as they came to us.”
