Boulder City girls, Moapa Valley boys win Grant Bushman titles

Indiana Mead won the three sprint events Friday to help Boulder City's girls track team take first place in the Grant Bushman Invitational in Overton.
 
Mead won the 100-meter dash in 13.48 seconds and took the 200 (27.83) and 400 (1:00.4) as she helped the Eagles to a total of 145 points. Moapa Valley was second with 88.
 
Moapa Valley's Jordan Chappell took the 800 in 2:37.63 and the 1,600 in 5:39.99.
 
In the boys meet, Josh Thompson won the 1,600 in 4:32.97 and the 3,200 in 9:50.85 as Moapa Valley ran away with the title.
 
The Pirates had a team score of 194. Boulder City was second with 121½.
