ROUNDUP: Pate leads Coronado surge in Southeast match

Christian Pate shot 4-under-par 68 at Tuscany to lead Coronado’s boys golf team to an easy win Tuesday in a Southeast League match.
All five scoring golfers for the Cougars shot 74 or better, finishing with a team score of 357. Green Valley finished second at 395, and Foothill was third at 396.
Coronado’s Matt Welch fired a 2-under 70 and Tad Darland added 71.
Kenden Slattery and A.J. McInerney each shot 74 for the Cougars, whose No. 6 golfer, Julian Glasser, came in at 77.
Green Valley’s Ryan Green and Foothill’s Taylor Montgomery each carded a 74.

Centennial captures Northwest League match
At Aliante, Brad Rowland carded a 1-over-par 73 to lead Centennial to a Northwest League victory.

The Bulldogs shot 397 as a team, followed by Faith Lutheran with 418 and Palo Verde at 420.
Faith Lutheran’s Yuki Kato took medalist honors with a 69.

Depth carries Diamondbacks to Southwest win
At Angel Park, Desert Oasis had three of the top four individual scores on its way to victory in a Southwest League match.

The Diamondbacks had a team score of 404, helped by Soungjae Baek’s 6-over-par 77, Niko Gonnella’s 78 and Jarris Nelson’s 79.
Pahrump Valley was second at 426.
The Trojans’ Dorian Patel was the medalist with a 4-over 75.
