McJunkin, Lindgren lead Pahrump girls to Spring Break title

Taylor McJunkin and Ashley Lindgren won two events apiece Tuesday to lead Pahrump Valley’s girls track team to the championship at the Spring Break Meet at Durango.
Pahrump tallied 175 points. Durango was second with 106, followed by Palo Verde with 104½.
McJunkin won the 400-meter dash (1 minute, 2 seconds) and long jump (15 feet, 10½ inches).
Lindgren took the 800 (2:25) and 1,600 (5:23).
BOYS
Palo Verde won five events Tuesday and used a balanced effort to win the boys title.
The Panthers rolled up 166 points, followed by Pahrump Valley (117), Durango (104), and Valley (98).
Pahrump’s Nick Stearns won the 110 hurdles (15.7), 300 hurdles (42.8) and pole vault (12-0). Teammate Alex Anderson took the long jump (19-5) and triple jump (43-5½) for the Trojans.
