ROUNDUP: Galindo’s late double breaks tie, lifts Valley past Foothill

Zoe Galindo’s RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning Monday drove in Mickayla Romero and broke an 8-8 tie to lift Valley’s softball team to a 10-9 win over visiting Foothill.
Galindo went 3-for-4 with two doubles for Valley. Romero hit a two-run home run in the second inning to give Valley an 8-3 lead.
Lauren Penska finished 3-for-4 for Foothill. Aricia Dami and Kylee Taylor doubled for the Falcons.
Las Vegas 3, Cimarron-Memorial 2 — At Cimarron, Monique Hernandez had 14 strikeouts, and Las Vegas broke a 2-2 tie in the eighth inning by scoring on a mishandled ball in left field.
Carrie Sheehan had eight strikeouts and went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI, and Nora Murphy had a double in the second inning for the Spartans.
Centennial 9, Durango 5 — At Durango, winning pitcher Taylor Huntley went 2-for-3 with an RBI as the Bulldogs defeated Durango.
Lindsay Konopelko went 3-for-4 with a home run for Centennial, which produced 15 hits.
Sam Juarez had a two-run home run in the sixth inning for Durango.
Sunrise Mountain 15, Western 4 — At Sunrise Mountain, Tyler Trujillo had three hits — including a double, drove in two runs and scored twice as the Miners beat the Warriors.
Western’s Dara Slivka and Taryn Sharp each blasted two runs and two RBIs.
Silverado 10, Eldorado 3 — At Eldorado, Riana Splinter was 3-for-4 with a triple and three runs to lead the Skyhawks past the Sundevils.
Taylee Heckman added a solo home run for Silverado.
Eldorado’s Gabriela Trillo went 3-for-4 with a double and a run.
Coronado 8, Rancho 6 — At Rancho, Kim Dawson doubled and finished 4-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, and Morgan Yuhas went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBIs to lead the Cougars past the Rams.
Amber Marlett had 17 strikeouts, and Aly Lamboo went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Rancho.
Legacy 7, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Sierra Pico pitched a complete-game two-hit shutout with six strikeouts to help the visiting Longhorns cruise past the Grizzlies.
Danielle Pick went 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Katrina Rand went 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Legacy.
Chaparral 20, Del Sol 15 — At Chaparral, JeNiece Morgan went 4-for-5 with a triple and two doubles, and the host Cowboys used a pair of nine-run innings to down Del Sol.
Kendy Reynoso was 4-for-5 with a double for Chaparral.
Cheyenne 11, Desert Pines 7 — At Desert Pines, winning pitcher Rachel Holly went 3-for-5, and Cheyenne scored five runs in the first inning and three more in the second on its way to a win over the Jaguars.
