ROUNDUP: West Wendover’s Sharp shoots way to career point record

Danika Sharp scored 45 points in just two quarters of action Saturday as West Wendover’s girls basketball team downed visiting Calvary Chapel, 69-49.
Sharp raised her career point total to 2,749 and passed Centennial’s Italee Lucas for what is believed to be the girls state career scoring record. Lucas finished with 2,714 points.
In the two quarters in which Sharp played, the Wolverines outscored Calvary Chapel, 56-22.
Anna Duerden paced the Lions with 24 points, and teammate Sammie Mann scored 10.
White Pine 75, Agassi Prep 23 — At Ely, Megan Stewart led a balanced attack with 10 points as the Bobcats clinched the No. 2 seed for the Class 2A Southern League playoffs by downing the Stars.
The Bobcats led only 12-5 after the opening quarter, but went on a 46-9 run in the next 16 minutes to pull away.
Alannah Conway led Agassi Prep with nine points.
BOYS
White Pine 58, Agassi Prep 51 — At Ely, Michael Johnson had 19 points and nine rebounds Saturday as White Pine stunned Agassi Prep.
Jacob Henze added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Bobcats, who led only 42-41 entering the fourth quarter.
Dimitri Amos had 19 points, and teammate Quincy Brown scored 12 for the Stars.
